"Death by DC"

Every gamer's worst nightmare:

I'm in the heat of the battle with the mantis and right before I press "4" to repair....

It happens

"Disconnection" AKA DC

Frantically, I refresh the page and relog as fast as I can....only to be greeted by 10 minutes of staring by the cake covered mascot. When I finally get back in....it's too late. Where my proud ship once stood, there is now only an escape pod....and a 5 minute return flight two systems away.

Now if it were a personal mistake, I wouldn't have gone Angry German Kid on my keyboard, however this is something out of my control.

I'm just going to ask you guys straight out,

1) Is anybody else having trouble staying connected to the game?

2) Is anybody else Disconnecting and/or seeing the Pirate Galaxy loading screen for more than 5 minutes?

*NOTE*

None of the above has happened to me during patch or maintenance days.

In short, the first question is, Do you play on the client version or on the web-page version? I was having trouble until I downloaded the client version. Also, if you are running a lot of unnecessary programs in the background, try closing them out. If you are on the web based version try to clear your cache and delete your cookies to see if it makes any difference. I come here from a popular web based mmorpg that was hosted on the Bigpoint.com portal (where I found this game and I love this one so much better) and the steps above made a huge difference in game play on that particular game.

i use the client and i don't have much problem staying connected but logging in it sometimes takes me between 5 - 30 min to even get to the logon screen then moretime to get on the game and yes i do use the repair function
