Database needed!

We need a good PG database. I have dreamd about detailed maps showing where ds routes go and where to find rank 46 snipers... if anyone is good at creating websites, i can supply all nice little facts showing ds trails and so on...

I'm getting into the web design bussines and have already made my clan a nice new shiny site
Although I can't post the link, since it'll be considered "advertising"... T_T

Anyways, I know HTML/PHP/MySQL/CSS. I can design a site with awesome graphics (if you supply me some ), add a login/register system, blog system (news), admin panels, etc.

Awesome! some flashy stuff (use flash to make it flashy) would be cool... and interactive map... press a mantis field to see what manti sare there, their description, what bp they drop... i can supply with a lot of info, like behemoth routes...

Erm....there already is a PG database. Not wanting to advertise, but in this case I think it's justified since it gives pretty much everything you need to know about the game, including missions etc. And very much complements the game, as many have discovered. Also, players can add to / update the database as new facts become known, or corrections are made. There's also detailed maps available.

Correct. There are a few sites out there designed for PG in mind and are there as helpful hints or info to help the players advance in the game. One of them is http://pgdb.ath.cx and the other is supplied by V1-Hyper at this address http://www.prelude.myzen.co.uk/PG.htm

yeah, myzens pretty good, a bit basic but easy to read. pgdb hasnt been updated since sol came out, theres no info on sol ships, bps, mantis or missions...

the creator is not playing pg anymore and we need a new database to fill in for the pgdb. V1's is kinda good, but hey, they give you a picture of a behemoth, but not where it lands.

I agree there is needed to fulfill whats missing from Syanydes database. If you plan into creating a new one, you can continue his work, and add the missing data of SOL and other.
But there will also be a re-modelation of V2 and it's story missions, so maybe not a bad idea to start from scratch.
I am sure Syanyde wouldn't mind if you copy from his site, but remember to give credit for his, or any others work you post up at a public site.

is there anyway to copy the text description of the player ships and eq parts? I'm too lazy to type it all by hand.

sorry but when i look for a Db i want to find quick what i search and V 's database helped me from the first day i play this game .
