Dante Sirius invasion event

Hello,

Finally we see some mantis from Sirius. So to introduce them you decide to stick em on a conquest planet.

Nice show. The rest it is horrible.

- Mantis so hard to kill it takens about 2 to 3 squads to kill em.
- they drop next to zero stuff and all shooters dive on it, leaving 90 percent of the shooters with nothing. Come on that much players fighting to grab a few bp's? Biggest dissapointment ever. People picking up BP's for rare ships they allready have!! Yea thx for that.
- Then you have to wait another what 3 or 4 hours for next round !!
- then thge normal small mantis , then drop ZERO only Logfiles.

Why not give all a FAIR chance to get something?? Why did u have to do it on a PM planet with like no armour, getting shot up by mantis and players. Why such low drop rate for so many players? That is not a present or introduction, it is again a huge dissapointment.

Why not give missions that u can do so all get a chance on a BP?

Oh and before I forget > when do these rediculous artifacts stop dropping instead of normal cryo. I see hundrefds of em. Useluss crap!

I almost get the feeling that you just upsetting players on purpose.

THX for absolutely nothing.

All i see is the next month off frantic BP stealing when a new system comes out.

Why on Earth would you require PM to land on Dante? Does SS really want to give golds and gravitons to members of the largest clans. What if you choose to remain neutral and just enjoy the game. I first landed only to find the LZ loaded with reds. Why bother. This needs to be fixed and fixed now.

Chage ? Fix? Where are u talkin about? The small mantis still drop ZERO. Hell you don't even land in the right instance. And off course, always a group off pirates that decides its fun to jump you.

What on earth makes you think it's fun too give one BP for 20 players? And why in pirate mode now?

It's the same mess as before. If not worse.

The most annoying fact off this all is that it is too few drops for so many players.

Congratulations. All i heard in voice chat is very dissapointed 'die hard' paying players. That consider leaving the game for a month or what.

I see the same guys grabbing BP's and stuff over and over. Yea, because they are better and faster. What? Are you doing this for the players that are best in snatching BP's and other drops? is that your target group ? Well i can tell you, that are not the players that are paying your bills from what i have seen. And i think i get a good impression on who has membership and buy boosters.

In one word, this SUCKS > big time.

I think i am gonna keep my cash in my pocket for a while. Don't need let myself being annoyed behind my pc for a few hours on a night.

Yeah, the whole idea of having the "Sirius" mantis drop on only one planet and that it is a PM only event is rather stupid.

It would be nice to at least get the ships and patterns (forget the gravs), but with 40 or more ppl crowding out the repair ships that seem to drop them its a bit of a waste of time. Not to mention that many who already HAVE the bps just try to suck them up if they can without scanning them "just incase it's a different one".

It doesn't really seem "balanced" at all. I bet SS are all laughing their heads off at this mayhem.

wow, pretty amazing, im a newbie, and i thought it was great, all that red, tonnes of people all in one place at one time, i suppose only being new, i have little expectation, but i was recently told in forums there was no PvE, this was an awesome mix of PvE & PvE, although since i saw only one BP, i can understand some are frustrated.

But without the drop issues bought up, which i cant conceive a solution, i have to go against the flow, and say, that was legendary fun. As a newbie i had no idea what the "special event" bar was, or why "pieces" started dropping, but ill know in future, and once i knew, it was epic. I was podded like 50 times (Probably an exaggeration) but podded a few myself, killed some small mantis, and helped with some big ones.

Then again, im used to other games PvE were i can spend weeks getting one item in 40 man raids that last hours and hours at a time. Then DKP is used to decide, which one of the 10 people who need the item should have it. The only thing i personally was disappointed with... the 20 e balls, that was some serious time spent refilling.

Then again, im sure you make a large proportion of your operating costs via membership, so it was probably only cheapskates like me that noticed that

One thing i was amazed at were people commenting that it was not fun because they needed a team consisting of tanks healers and dps, did many other people share that opinion? To me, from the MMO's ive played, the diversity, and requirement of group participation are the key to enjoyment.

I love my storm, its my warlock, with DoT's and a steel skin, But i need a tank often, and thats what i found in this event, healers, tanks, dps, and support, legendary.

The only thing i personally was disappointed with... the 20 e balls, that was some serious time spent refilling.

you dont need to refill on dante. do not use self mat option but rather go to hangar. even your current energy capacity can provide you with extensive shooting time.


My only suggestion would be that SS gives us global cryonite protect tomorrow on Sunday so we make quite some mess on Dante without all the swearing, insulting etc. that happens cause people lose big cryonite amounts. I mean it's only 1 day - they can give us fun for 1 day I guess?

i suggest u also take an advice similar to urs but not refering to growing in size bt rather in mental faculty.
some enjoy flailig themselves or putting spikes through their body parts, walking on fire,etc. doesnt mean all should/wanna do it .
u go right ahead and do wht u think is "fun" but dont try to b prejudice in ur texts towards those tht dont share ur "fun".

and btw ur post looks suspiciosly like a good match to whining and flaming definitions u are acusing others of. all others (i have read all) just express their thoughts/feelings (in one way or another) on the threads TOPIC.

it was rather meant as a puzzle text/joke to keep "someone" ocupied thinking as to forget all other worries.(also includes truth and opinion as always)
but rules do not permit me to discuss my opinions on the topic i was refering to on here.
(ill message u after i leave u some time to ponder on it.lol)
and the post tht initialized my response is not a very on topic post but rather an isolatory criticism to all those tht posted their opinions thus maybe inviting more retaliatory non topic posts....cathegory sound familiar?

well astreus, we know the 'grown up' opinion now.

It was proclaimed as an opportunity to meet new mantis and get some stuff. We needed to grab this opprtunity.

And a very small line 'PM is on' in the bottom of the message.

Now, i know for fact that lots of players not even went to Dante. There was loads of people complaining about this event. I have read the german forum also. You were there yesterday and did nothing just said it would not change.

Check that pilot profile. 856 days played and done 12 missions. I wonder who's second account this is. And why the pilot does not dare giving his opportunity under his actual pilot name.

I totally agree with Defcon and others about the "fun" in this event.
I've had fun before and this event is not it.

It is rediculous to have an event where you must be red to participate. LOL... PVP is enabled.
Regardless of what you call it, this was NOT a pvp event.

Because unless you are in the clan or alliance with the most members - immediately upon landing the unfortunate pilot is podded. Land again, podded again. Land again, podded again. On the rare occasion that you do get to the area where the event mantis are spawing there are 25 dogs fighting over one bone and killing each other to get it. Oh yeah. That's high on my list of enjoyable activities - like sticking needles in both my eyes.

I go red. I pvp. I pvp 1vs1 or sometimes go to the pvp planets when they're open. I know the chance you take when you fly in pirate mode. However, even on the battle planets ganging is not allowed.

In truth NOT all pilots playing the game can participate. It is exclusion by ganging.

We're not Boo Hoo'ing because someone stole our bp, Lance and Astreaus, or that we we're podded because we are red, but we're darn upset we don't even get a fair chance to get the opportunity to even TRY to get past the LZ or secure the gold bps.

So, now the gravitons and rare ships end up in the hands of the most powerful alliance. Those of whom, by the way, already have most of the gravitons in the game. And as it is our understanding that gravitons will be used "for shielding off against the energetic chaos," then the rest of us without cq clans and without gravitons will be where in the next few weeks?

As red was imposed upon us by the developers during this event - they are also imposing a clan/alliance imbalance. And look, I could easily join one of the many fine clans in the huge alliance, I don't have any arguement with the clans themselves, but why should a small clan member have to?

One last thing. This could have been an opportunity for opposing clans and allies to learn to work together - like agreeing to shoot in separate areas or at different times of the day so everyone could play and learn how to defeat these new mantis and gather the bps and gravitons. But no.

I truly would like the developers to take into consideration the position we are put in when these types of situations are thrust upon us.

LOL. Many ppl seem to be angry cus of almost no drop rate(some are angry for it to be pve+pve) yeah I think of a event it might be pve or pvp, but both at once, hmm some mess huh? OK this is for the unknown ppl that does not get the points, it's your own choice to come or not, if you get podded once, you should know it ain't worth it xD, you get no cryonite+no bp(if you already have them)+and a small chance to get gravi.

many like u seem to not understand , exclusion to participate from part of the game because it was made to ONLY b played in one way some players dont like is never fun.
its saying those tht dont wat pvp can leave the game if they dont like it ...fine its cool but wht if for example they say tomorrow all "ridoi" cant land on planets above vega system unless they pay?
im hinting at pay cause seems to go in tht direction .... cryo vaults arent free as i know. maybe would b fair to announce if they gonna make all updates for paying players only.lol

btw i heard the drops were lousy even for those tht wasted gold/cryo to go try out.lol i personally was alone at the time and blasters took down the big ships shields in 2-3 hits but after tht 10 blaster hits did nothing so i retreated.lol + with bosses i assume sharing in such numbers is also difficult + i heard some just waited to steal the drops maybe thts the only positive thing for being red but still he wont drop the loot when u pod him.lol
btw splitscreen proved they can make a well balanced boss with easter eggs which were soloable in about 1 hr gametime or less if u had membership and they could b attacked in sq. now lets w8 and see which direction they may go in sirius cause may b to soon to assume the worse.

and ppl i suggest u not make the same mistake in thinking as splitscreen seems to want to make... we are all different and enjoy lots different aspects of games . ACCEPT the DIFFERENCE in TASTE and wht for each is fun . the more variety a game has the more player types it will atract and can only b good imo.
whats so bad in all having different things they enjoy?! why keep criticising players for their tastes in fun activity in a silly online game?!
glad some of u enjoyed but some didnt its simple . treat the others as u would want to b treated.
