Hi,

lol All I can say is you should of gotten a tank :)

The Gemini system will make you run alot, (even in a tank).

Not saying that a Storm in the system is a bad idea. You will just get podded alot.

Best go down one system and continue to farm harvesters there. (Antares) Make enough cryonite. And ask friends or clanmates to help you get max equipment for your ship. (I always max out my ship before starting any story mission).

Hope this Helps.

I agree with VintageAion on going back and grind for better equipment for your ship. as I always max out my ship before starting any story mission it helps getting threw them easier.

Yes good advices, I'll just add also when you feel you are not ready for the reached system, always go back, work to get cry, but also to get the skill to play, and skill to survive. It will help you in your future.
Don't either sell ships/tech for to buy a new one, but grind for them, and in the end you will be proud of yourself to have a ship from all systems.
Also you will be able to then go back to each system and planet to do the Standard White Missions (WM's) that will give you some cry as well.

Tank is not a must for to survive, engii is as good as tank, and Storm is the best ship to grind with.
All depend on the skill to play/survive as I wrote before.

I never used a tank for any system as primary ship, maybe bought them afterwards, and I have always managed to survive and to go further.

Good luck to you and Happy gaming Pogo2.

Tanks are for noob; dont get a tank they are bad. lol
stay with a storm; much better grinder than a tank for cryo.
a full top blue storm in gemini does really good and you can even solo all missions with some practice.
you need level 28 for top tech
so... make sure you get that level then ask some friends or guildmates to help you out for some tech.
then youll be good ;
level 35 for mizar which will be your next system. so dont forget to grind some cryo and level before you smash all your sms in 1 night ;)
greetings;

OK thank you all, but I cant grind in Antares because the harvester is my exact level, so any strategies for leveling up, I just leveled up to 26?

And that is why tank came in handy XD Powerful damage with great defense and handy shields/Aim Scrambler.

Just because tanks are a preferred choice by many, doesn't mean they are only for noobs.

With the tank. You will enjoy straight up killing the harvester without stopping then using aggrobomb to kill all the left overs. (My favorite thing to do. Enjoy the fireworks XD)

For your storm, get the level 25 gear with a help of a clanmate, friend, or whoever you can find.

Then go back to lustra. I farmed with my level 25 Gemini tank with all level 25 equipment and 2/2 armor in lustra for 3 levels straight. Then got my level 28 equipment at level 28 and then continued to grind in lustra.

Lustra level 26 harvesters closest to the southeast corner is my opinion the best cryonite grind spot for your level. Mostly because there is a decent E field nearby and the harvesters and intercepters can drop at least 300 cryonite per harverster kill. Maybe more/less depending on how lucky you are. One kill got me over 450 because of all the barbarians that joined in the fight. While you are getting these cryonites. You are leveling up pretty fast. About 10-15 harvesters with the interceptors should get you at least close to a level up.

If that is still too tough for you. You could go to taresa. From LZ, go straight north pass the Carl Lab to the Harvester/E field there. I believe those are level 24. Pretty easy with Gemini ship and level 25 blaster.

Your storm may be better at grinding. But I was told it was a fact that the Tank will do you better in the story missions.

A clan with a good alliance system is extremely good. I would of never probably gotten half as far without my clan and the alliances. Probably still be level 18 right now trying to get the best anteras equipment instead of almost already getting close to the next system.

I started over last week (friday) after no success of finding my old account. Level 1. Right now, level 30 with all the best Gemini common equipment half way through the story mission. This mourning I was at level 25. Yesterday, I was level 20 just finished getting my best common Antares tank equipment. Get yourself a clan and high level friends. They will help you.

To me, Storm is easy to equip up. I got all my common level 28 Gemini storm equipment hours before I found the last Blueprint for the Aggrobomb in CC and collector in Prosp...

Hey I rezent that, as a storm pilot I feel it my duty to state that storms are MUCH better for cry grinding and bps hunting than any tanks, simply because of the firepower. Tanks are sterdier and take the damamge but a storm dishes it out so that the damage doesn't get taken in the first place :) (not by the player anyways) if you're getting podded a heap of times in a storm then you're not using it right or you're too careless when flying.

Read that

My first real ship was a storm. I did love it. But I was limited on how long I could stay in battle when facing multiple Enemies. I picked Tank mostly because of it's capabilities to kill more lesser odds. It is not my choice on what ship others pick. I am just saying tanks will do you better in story missions. Alot of people I play with who use storms only said that they used tanks only in the story missions and then bought the storm afterwards.

In Gemini system, the best ship for Story Missions is Engineer, I got it to make the missions and was great, I could pass most of the missions alone without help, friends of mine with tanks they needed assist of me to pass gemini story missions.

No argument there. Tanks just need to learn how to avoid the squads. Only weakness of the story missions are the fact the story npcs you need to guard die too quick and all the DS go straight for them no matter what.

tanks are for the non hardcore gamers who wanna sit and fly through everything like babies, its the wussy ship in my clan lol. take risk, get a storm, it kills much faster too, and top antres storm tech can solo a lustra harv easy, or you can just go to vega and kill lvl 15 harvs, with a storm for AOE ( splash damage) which poopy antres tank doesnt have, and gemini tank takes much too long for its splash to come back.

lol tank is just a type of gameplay. Nothing wrong with having one.

Most games who have this style in group player (Healers, DPS, Tank) are for the ability to take on more enemies at the same time. Tanks are just as important and useful as any other ship.

Just because tank has high defense, shields, and all the good stuff to make it hard to kill, doesn't mean it is for noobs.

Games with group type gameplay rely on the tank (tank) in the group to take as much damage while the DPS (Storm) does the most damage with the Crowd Control (Stun) to make the battlespace under control if the fight gets too heavy and the healer (engineer) heals the group.

I use Tank and Storm.

ok this might be my 5 years of experience talking but, get all your tech first dont even think about doing sm until your ship if fully equipped. when you have your ship fully equiped and maxed out then start the sm. all the cryo you get from your sm save for the next system this way you have a nice lump of cryo for your next system equipment. i grinding on pros and finished a tank and stun ship for gemini in around 3 days. i then soloed nearly every sm in gemini with my stun ship alone. stun ships are great for escort missions. aggrobeacon for distracting mantis and ds while if you run into a ds head on stun the commander then stun dome the rest of the mess. and take your time flying away. i recently started over on a new server and made my way to mizar in 2 week and my ship is fully equipped, yes i had help from my alliance but most of my tech i got on my own, its not that hard if you know what your doing haha ^^ . yes dont sell your ships from older systems keep them all you will be happy when you have a ship for every system.

this is all i can think of atm im sure it will help

Try to get at least 1st tier common Gemini gear. Then go lustra. It don't really have to be friends. You can just ask in public chat.
