Chat Blacklist / Chat Block

As we all know harassment is a major problem in the game today. Wether it be in public, clan, or private chat.

To have anything done about it we have to take screenshots. Well sometimes people are too upset or multiple other reasons that they dont think about taking the sceenies. Other times people start going off on the the person that's harassing.

Well I think it's time that we have an option to be able to prevent that.

I am suggesting a chat blacklist or block. A way to stop them from private messaging.

I have noticed there be room on a persons profile page between buddy and open chat at the bottom for another button. Well why not have a button to be able to block someone. click it and block them, stop them from being able to private message you. Of course after clicking it it turns into an unblock button so that it's not permanent. This is but only one simple idea.

Another thing that can be possible is to have an option to block any chat from the chat box. Ex) Block public, clan, or any person in private and not have it come back up till you choose to unblock it. I have played a MMORPG that had an option like this. you could choose to close any type of chat. Course couldnt do it to single private messages.

But period there should be a way to blacklist someone so we dont have to deal with the harassment anymore. At least in private chat. Someone doing it in public is stupid of them as it is.

This would very much improve the game enjoyment for people.

If anyone else has ideas to add or to improve on mine pls do. I would really like this to come into play as soon as it can

Well this would take much precious time to ss, but since they spend their time ruining the game and releasing unimprovements, I support this idea. SS, make this instead of ruining the game.

This has been suggested in several occasions, but has been disregarded.

But you know what, this would ease also the infringements against ingame rules, people will be less reported, and those who you want to block, they will see with time, there is no use to keep on.
Might calm down the bad language use, harassment etc.

I support this idea, always did, and now even more.

If you want new stuff in the game, I have a complicated suggestion what would request lots of work.

Ingame screenshot system, when you hit a Report button, it will auto take a screenshot, and auto send it to the support, included the id of the one who hit the report button..

There you go, work on that.

Why CtMurphy, what has the gm's done to you, they are doing their job all voluntarily as everyone knows.
They are there for to help players, but they are not the ones who develop the game.

Many ideas has been on suggestions written and done by players, and also many opinions has been written at Praise & Rants board, there are many types of opinions going on of the new updates, but really, don't take it upon the gm's, they already get the blames on things they can't do absolutely nothing about.

Please give them a break, they are doing a wonderful job, and this is me as LFM and as player saying this.

I was just playin' around wit that, but for fun
Though if ya feeelin' serious w can always take this to the prosie landing zone
and I've said to give the GMs a break or something to that effect repeatedly ^.^ so don't gimme a lecture please. and I was agreeing with your idea, grow a funny bone >.>

I also DO agree with this idea. It's because you always got some buggers in the game like for example someone tht asked for help, and keeps asking even if you said no. We do need to be careful with this option when selecting it. For example: I block someone right before he wanted to say sorry (whn meaning it). I think this last IS important to hear ( or read ).

To say it all at once: I support this idea completely, still we need to be careful who to block

The only problem I can see with this is that If you do not know soemone has blocked you, you may attempt to talk to them for a long time without realising this.

for example, If a clan member has been blocked by another clan member, and one clan member tells everyone to go to a CQ, that member will not turn up... regardless of thet fact that the CQ has nothing to do with one player blocking another.

Also, it may seem a bit harsh if it tells someone that you blocked them...

I do howver really support this idea, there are some people you just dont want to talk to

Yea if it was done that way. Mostly the blocking would be for private chat. You would still be able to see clan and public chat. When I was talkin about the clan and public I was talking about being able to close it if you dont want to see it. just an option to be able to. Also makes me think better to make people do it each time they get on so they dont forget it's closed and leave it for a long time. Though as you mention cq it can be a problem. Unless your clan speaks through mics mostly
