4 yes and 18 no so far :D and I don't like it, I have to always look at my back if I do something like a wm, and have pm on. I don't like that.

4 yes and 18 no? You mean 4 yes and 14 no? I think you've mistaken the "Total votes" for the "yes". Just correcting you ^^ :mrorange: ^^

perhaps my massive red letters of frustration helped spur SS into action? ;)
it would be the only time i can think of where foaming insanity has worked. as it stands, 79% of people dont like the new PM. pretty clean cut case id say.

This is going well, I thought more people liked it as not many complained when it came out. Anyway Ive been thinking about implementing the bounty system with the old pm, I think it would work, If you got bounty but as soon as you switch pm off you lose it. This would mean players in pm for bounty would be in pm all the time, and players who wanted clan battles and the rest of it who could not care less about bounty are free to do all that without fear of staying in pm after.

It would work, I think.

Anyway, get more people voting, this is only open for another few days :cool:

Unfortunately this would not work due to the amount of abusive players that just pod for fun. Now if they added a feature that sent a player to the "jail" for say..an hour, for podding a player that was below him/her in planet tech, then maybe that would discourage them a bit and make your suggestion feasable.

i just wonder why we the players didnt have the option to express ourselves regarding loot system in this manner, wait, we had the option but no one cared to listen. i mean c'mon drac is 5 times more expensive than sol - what SS thought to accomplish by this? to slow people down? FYI it didnt slow anyone down it just made a huge number of frustrated players who grind and constantly have to argue "whose harvs spot it is"

back to pirate mode - personally i think bounty is good idea but those who hunt bounties should get cryonite as reward. here is what i'd do to PM system to mediate between both systems:

1. PM should have on and off function and warning dialogue ("You are about to enter pirate mode - this will enable other players who are in pirate mode to engage you for bounty - do you want to proceed? Y/N) prior to entering PM to avoid activation of PM by accident.

2. bounty should be paid in cryonite (just look example in real life - it's paid in money :p) at the end of the week (same as warscore) to pilots who manage to get enough bounty during week for example for draconis bounty limit for bounty payment should be 20 000cryonite. so to claim 20k you'd have to pod 40 people during 7 days with 500bounty and survive those 7 days during which you MUST land at least 3 times on surface of planet in that system (gazica or hive) each day (in 1hour interval) and spend at least 10min (time limit could be tweaked to more or less time to make player accessible for other pirates to engage you i.e. to give other bounty hunters a chance to pod you and claim your bounty). if you dont land 3 times a day and spend at least 10min on the planet during each landing you will have your bounty amount reseted

3. when going PM cryo- bounty should be limited for pvp among system ships: if for example draco pods sol ship he does not get his/her bounty.

4. no hunting-packs assaults: PVP bounty should be 1vs1 only,to keep duels fair. you have CQ to be 3vs1 "heroes". bounty is NOT paid if 2 or more players (plonkers) engage a single target at the same time.

5. amount of cryonite bounty should depend on player rank and his/her ship i.e. more cryonite goes into "bounty fund" if you fly stronger ships. for example: 500cryonite for draco ship is taken from players cryonite amount when he goes into PM. so 500 cryonite per player aint much but there will be a "grand prize" winner at the end of the week. amount could be increased/decreased depending on the POLL on the forum so it'd be a player's will.

6. "galaxy news" should contain information about "MOST WANTED PIRATE" (text which will acknowledge him/her as a person who "instills most fear in that star system" praises, headlines etc. so that person could gloat over his/her achievements and have bragging rights by getting gold skull on his/her profile). warscore skull should be white, clan skull should be red.

7. for gods sake prior to releasing "new feature" (such as PM) test it on ptr and listen to feedback on forum from MAJORITY of players.

well this is how i'd make PM (if this could be programmed) - IMHO it would be fair,rewarding and challenging (same as real life bounty hunter) and most importantly it would be FUN.

i just want the old pm back, precisely how it was. i cant help it, im a veteran player, i just think pg was better in 2009/2010.

Yes the 30 second countdown was long but it was the Proper way for PM now its go red and die soon. Its not fair on newbies who don't know any better. For that reason Gm's PLS BRING IT BACK!

i accidently clicked the wrong button so i wanted to vote no i don't want the pm system to stay like this but i clicked wrong. and i prefer the old loot system as well.

Yes Tyrannus is right, it is absolutely inutile to ask the GM's to change this and that in the game, gm's has absolutely no Developer powers to change anything in the game.

sry for butting in but its soo stupid as pm system is nowadays ppl begging to b podded to turn off pm its ridiculous . at least add something in hangar to pay cryo or whtever to turn off pm.
even the mechanics are lame if ya shoot down a pm he respawns too fast with fully loaded equipment and urs probably drained no mistery why its illogical to b like tht.(nvm the membership no membership aspects)
pvp is flawed clan activities and minigames lacking and flawed.lol
good start of a game but needs much mor work imo.

btw i wonder who had the bright idea in the first place to change pv and why.lol

I have suggested a way better system a few months ago which included putting out PM if you have no bounty, which is much better, + a 30 second cooldown + reduced amout of bounty lost + much more bounty so you can actually get more WS and even XP for bounty as it's so risky.

I guess that is a little too complex, but would help.
