Center Quad Gradient

OK, what is up with the center quad gradient color pattern? Seems it was only available as a promo via a code of some sort from a German magazine? If so, was it ever made available in USA? Does the code still work like maybe on Solaria server? If so, can someone post it here or is that not legal to do so?

One more thing with respect to the rare colors. OK, I have been playing this game many many hours since September '09 and I have seen exactly ONE rare mantis, and that only because someone else found it and announced it, so I went to have a look. Is there some kind of a super trick to spotting these things or getting them to land? I 'heard' it is strictly up to the GMs to land them now and then. How would someone go about collecting all the different rare color patterns or is that just totally not possible given that I have only seen ONE in the past 7+ months after spending so much time playing?

-i think that the center quad gradient comes with a membership? -i have been playing a litle longer, and i think that once there was a "rule" that if you have been on a planet for half an hour, a rare mantis would be announced somewhere? -but i am pretty shure that that rule don`t exist no more. -i have had the luck to defeat a rare marauder and a rare avenger on one server, and a rare marauder on another server. -and on a third server i defeated a rare scout, but it only dropped some crystals. -and by the way, thanks for your work with the colorpatterns -and you can find me on solaria too
