Bwahaha! I found a faction system!

When watching the old trailer... when you made a character, a window popped up saying: Choose a colony.

Is it possible that there was some sort of faction system? Discuss ^^

You could choose between Vega, Caprica, and tau Ceti

O_O Interesting... Imagine that, different sets of players, starting in a different galaxy set!
The last MMO I played operated in a very similar manner... but you could eventually proceed to the other places! But while that's true... considering that we only get 1 account per server, imagine choosing a faction and regretting it later for some irritating reason! (lets assume that it's gameplay related)
Oh noes! That would kinda reek eh?

Might be why it didn't carry over to the released Pirate Galaxy after that point... maybe?

I believe that that was only for the Beta testers to be able to jump right into what needed testing without having to go through the tutorial of the Vega system. But in case it was anything else I don't think we'll be seeing a faction system in PG as it didn't even make it of the Beta PTR. And then again PG wouldn't be the same with a faction system, we don't want it to be "another games" copy cat.

Well, Vega was the only system that was selectable, and the only system at all at the time.
