Buying ships with gold

I was just thinking back to when I first started almost 14 months ago.. And I remembered being able to buy ships with gol.. What ever happened to that?

My suggestion is bring it back. Now that I am more into the game.. I would spend $75 on a fully armored dominator.. Or even 25 bucks just for the ship without armor...

there was once an option to buy ships with gold but they got rid off it but it is a good idea to reinstal it into the game

Yes, there was indeed an option to buy ships with gold, about 2 years ago now though.

I fully agree with the return of purchasing ships with gold, but I do not agree with being able to buy level 50 ships with gold, I believe they need to be earned.

Back then we could also buy upcoming ships with gold about 2 months before the release of a system, I think they should bring this back too, it would be great to test out upcoming ships before they come out, and also have fun playing around with the ships.

I don't like the idea from the ships buying whit gold coming back i bought a ship whit gold in those days to have a advantage when the next system came out but now every would just buy there hangars full of ships whit out working for it. And then a parsec ship buy-able whit gold? Are you Crazy? every1 would have parsec's (there are allot now days but still) even lvl 50 ppl would have them where is the hard work we're we high lvl spend so much time grinding all the armors and the ships if some1 else just can buy them?

I agree that the Rank 50 ships should not be bought (as I said on my post above), since they require a lot of grinding to get one, but I think that being able to buy any ship (Other than the rank 50 ships) is fine and is a good way for SS to make money. When this option was still available, it worked fine, and if you remember we couldn't buy the rank 50 ships back then so it was pretty fair, so I don't really see the problem in bringing it back.

Agree, But i just don't want that SS put the lvl 50 ships for sell for allot of gold. But apart from that i don't see a problem why they shouldn't return

Yeah, yall are right about the 50 ships I just dont have the time or persistence to grind for one.. so I would rather buy one

but the thing is guys look at other games one i know you put money on it on MHH X3 game currency which is bad at the amount of money they make and from 4 years ago the game used to be good now its all bots and its a complete joke my m8 per week spent 200-300 dollars on it so just remember people that buying ships yes some might thinks good but i believe it would kill this game!

I still don't see how it would kill this game, we used to have this feature back in 2009 and it worked fine! At the time when you had the option to buy ships with gold, you could still buy them with cryonite, buying them with gold just saves you a lot of time grinding.

No offence but people change, since PG's player base has grown it would bring in different types of people, the hard earners and the easy spenders. And this feature was removed for a reason right? If people can just buy the ships without grinding for them then the game would lose its meaning. It would also open up a greater gap between the free and paying members. IMO its not a good idea.

well if you have played splitscreens other new game steal legions you would see there that just about everything in game is to be bought with gold aka real cash so it seems splitscreen cant be against it. Im level 5 there and with my super weapons and armor that i bought with gold aka real cash i can walk all other a player with twice my level that has not spent any cash so you see splitscreens new game is pay to win in every way. I dont think bringing back ships for gold will effect this game in anyway at all it would just give the players with not much time to keep up with the players that dont spend any cash but have lots of free time to play the game

I would agree with this idea if it was suggested like 8 months ago, but now i have realized that ships are just too important and are becoming too hard too get to be sold for gold.

So sorry, I am against this idea.

why not get special ships into the game, almost like the parsec's, but you can buy them with cryonite and with gold...

Well how about "higher ship, higher prize"?

So you would pay like 500 gold for vega ship and 50000 gold for draconis ship.
How does that sound?

they'll never put it back since because ppl rush through the systems to fast then and that's what they are trying to prevent.
