Bug Playing The Game.

I downloaded the game about a year ago and was able to play on it fine without any problems. I left and decided to come back and had to re download the new patches(I have the launcher BTW). When i start up the game nothing is out of the ordinary and i am able to log in to the server and my character. I had to make a new character alright that fine with me i don't mind starting over. Now my problem is in the first mission when theres that cut scene with your ship and a few other ships moving towards the planet my screen blinks about 4-5 times like black, normal, all black normal etc etc. Then my entire computer just freezes and i can't do anything at all, Ctrl alt delete, move my mouse nothing. I have to turn off my computer via the power bar. I would like to know if theres anything i can do to continue playing the game because it is a fairly fun game IMO. What is this problem/bug and how would i go about to fix it? I already reinstalled and re downloaded the patches countless times so that doesn't work any other suggestion's or tips would be appreciated thank you.

did you try skipping the cutscene as soon as it plays? it might be a problem with your gfx card judging from how the screen turns on and off. how old is your gfx card, it might be the cause (not being able to handle the newer graphics and all the data) also if it's on fullscreen mode it might be trying to change the resolution but being interrupted some how.

anyways I can play most games fine like WOW, champions online, DFO, league of legends with my crappy computer with no lag at all....most of the time. It's not so much the cut scene like i see the ships move towards the planet and ounce they attempt to enter the planet and actually start to load when I am on the planet to start playing is when I get the screen flashes.

that's your processor, which looks fine to play PG by the way, but i need the model of your graphics card, I.E., ATI HD5770 (this is a newer model but it's just for example purposes), GeForce GTX 580 etc etc. usually you can find that info in your System window in the control panel (if using windows). But, since you seem to be using an older computer (judging from the processor), i'd say your graphics card is probably on it's last leg. I'd suggest getting a newer one, doesn't have to be a fancy one, just one that's capable of running 3D graphics. Like i said, i'm not sure it's the card but i'm 80% sure it is judging from the way your screen behaves.

(graphics cards have a life of about 5-7 years or so before they start going bad, depending on the level of care and stress they go through every day.)

Also, one thing i should probably ask, your Java is up to date right?

-also if you have an old gamigoaccount, be shure to log in by the gamigoportal. -and if you do remember your old password, i think that you can play your old pilot too. -but yes, keep your java updated
