Blueprints

Greetings all. This is my first Forum post so i hope you can bear with me lol.

So its my understanding that you need blueprints in order to be able to purchase better equipment.

Ive been told that blueprints randomly drop from mantis. Is this true? If so whats the average percentage chance of a drop? Also is there a minimum level for drops to occur? Im currently level 5.

Ive been killing the level 4 mantis for a little while now to see if i get a blueprint drop. Am i doing the right thing?

First of all I will ask you please to input your profile details as should.
There is no server by that name, nor can you have rank100, highest possible rank for a player is 75, and GM's 99.

It will help you to keep right details if you get problems ingame and you write about it at forum, we can quickly check from ur profile whats your pilot name and server you play on, also the level indication helps in various problems.

Now to your questions, you are level 5, and killing level 4 mantis on Kalabesh will only give you a rare ship BP (blueprint).
Now on the next planet the mantis will drop higher bps and better ones than the sub-standard ones,
and yes you will need bp's to be able to purchase the item and install on your ship in the hangar.

There is no minimum level for drops, Kalabesh is just a starter planet, and some sm's (Story missions) has some bp installations on it.
But there is a level requirement on the bp's to install, and also for the ship on each new system you will arrive to.

Follow the game, it says what you need to do. No need to ask people in the begin of the game. It only brings up bad suggestions, such as searching blueprints in a chance to get better technology.

First of all, you need to do your storymissions. http://wiki.pirategalaxy.net/index.php/storyline for a list of all of them. If you have completed until you can go to axiom, you can get better technology, but still it is best to follow the storyline until it gets too hard. Then do white missions for better tech and cryonite.
