BAD NETWORK SIGNAL

this last few weeks all i seem to get is the bad network message all the time and my game lagging out for like 2 mins at a time, all my drives and windows is upto date and iv got 50 meg optical broadband and there is only my pc connected to the internet with nothing else connected, iv got no viruses and i only use this computer to play pirate galaxy, iv got a intel i7 quad core, 8 gig ddr3 ram and 2 ati 5870 is cross fire so my pc aint slow, so what can it be??? cos its gettin unplayable for me and its got even worse after todays update

A few suggestions that you havent mentioned - 1) Clean out your Internet Cache Files 2) Scan your Drives for any problems 3) Defrag your HD(s). Also Lag may be caused by a Network connection somewhere between you & the Servers. I live in the USA & connect to Askone quite a bit - sometimes I do have Lag most times I dont.

Bottom Line is this - Dont always blame the SS Game Servers when it could be something beyond your or SplitScreens control

iv done all the things u have said many times all i can think is its something between me and the splitscreen server but it only happens on this game. i know a fair bit about networking and pc and iv tested my connection to a usa connection test server and i get 46 meg download ans 44 meg upload speed and a ping of 38ms all my drivers are upto date and so is all my windows updates
