No one else than Staff has enabled avatars.
This is for to make it easier to the community to see when Staff replies to your questions.
Now this above is false, it is not only for gm's, but for all staff.
Remember also, gm's doesn't moderate the forums, we do, the moderators,
only we have powers on the forums.

YOUR Avatars are of a specific format and easily distinguishable from pictures players normally use. If it's about "identifying" official responses only then you ought to know by now that a "picture speaks a thousand words"! Players become "identifiable" by their picture just like "officials".
Don't you think that if we post something needing an answer from an "official" then we will be looking for it?? No need really to make it so very easy for us!
Personally I think it is a bit selfish not to let us ALL have the ability for Avatar use. And I feel the REAL reason has nothing to do with making it "easier for us to see your replies"!

I have tried to find the POLL tab next to the upload attachment tab and I cannot see it.
In FAQ it says if I cannot see it then I don't have permission to do a poll. Is that right? Surely we can. I just can't seem to find the poll tab/button to create it !!

are you all QQ'ing over avatars cmon its ridiculous. any avatar u see a mod have can be easily replicated and then you would have imposters posing as staff.
i mean really is your life gonna go down the tubes if u cant have a pic by yer name. id much rather staffs time was spent doing productive things for us gamers then getting an avatar lol
