This POLL is to get some feedback from ALL players on how they feel about being able to use Avatars under their names.This has come about due to a post on the matter and I have copyied some of my comments from that post here (for easy of explaination).
The only reason given to us why we can't have Avatars : is that it "makes it easier for us players to see a response given by GMs, Moderators, Develpoers etc".
I say this is a lame excuse and site reasons as follows:
1) Officials Avatars are of a specific format and easily distinguishable from pictures players normally use. If it's about "identifying" official responses only - then you ought to know by now that a "picture speaks a thousand words"!
2) Players become "identifiable" by their picture just like "officials".
3) Don't you think that if we post something needing an answer from an "official" then we will be looking for it?? No need really to make it so very easy for us!
Personally I think it is a bit selfish not to let us ALL have the ability for Avatar use. After all, it will be another aspect of the formus that allows players to be "involved" and make it more of a "personal" experience. I think both of these are important within any forum.
