Obviously it doesn't seem that they forgot about anything, nor do they care. I sent in a ticket regarding membership and recharging the droid at a cost. This was their response:

My ship is in the hanger at 100%, The droid is at 98%. It hasn't died so I don't need to re-mat. 1. it is an item. 2. it needs repair. Either way, should be covered by membership.

Wake me up the next time there is an event that benefits the player!

I say let it die! 5% isn't any improvement anyway.

actually we don't it clearlys says anything to do with e is either discounted of free. we still have to pay e for our mat and it actually is more if we mat from what I noticed today. Yes we could go to the hanger and mat for free and heal, however we all know most time when we have to mat it takes a while to get back into place.

as to a gift, a gift is given to you not hassel. and for some easy math for you 5% out of 100 is? 5 so 105, yeah that will save me a graze if I am lucky

Here is some Q & A on the A101 Armor Drone:

1. Do you need only 1 drone for all of my ships?
Each ship will have a slot to equip a drone. So you will need more if you want the drone for all your ships

2. Do you need 1 drone for each system?
No the drone will work on each system and any ship. No limitations here.

3. Do you need 1 drone for each ship in my hanger?
There are no obligations to use drones. Its up to you if you want to install it in your ship.

4. How many presents do you need to find for a drone?
That differs from the color of the present. You need to complete the 5 star level for each present color to complete the drone BP.

5. Are the diffrent presents worth diffrent amounts?
They need different tasks to aquire them. For each star level that is completed you will recieve gravitons as a gift. When 5 stars are full you will get a unique color pattern plus a drone blueprint part.

6. The presents that require a squad is there something for each squad member on the drop?
Only one present will drop for the squad missions. So you need communicate who can collect the present.

7. Are all the levels of presents going to found in every system?
The mission based presents are optainable only in vega (Kalabesh & Aurora)
The rest can be found on all planets except the sirius planets

8. what is the drone and how does it work?
One installed in the ship it will boost the armor by 5%. When on a planet surface the drone will consume energy and needs to be recharged in the hanger.(~3 hours)

9. what are the repair costs & I have Membership, why do I have to pay?
Repair Costs are Based on Rank of Pilot using Drone. Membership does not affect Repair Cost – It is like the Self Mat Cost with Membership

drone is utter nonsense - 5% more HP means nothing in PVE (especially in sirius); in PVP maybe it can make some difference but those 5% more HP would mean 1-3more crit. shots so i doubt it is usable in PVP either. all that effort to get something that drains energy like crazy, especially when in lower systems. i mean come on, for rank 85players it's 10.500energy to fix the drone fully. have they taken into consideration that filling that much energy in vega system for example would take ages? drone recharge energy should be based on star systems (least for vega most when in sirius) NOT the player's rank. this would be logical way to do it. i'm disappointed with this year's PG birthday event - too much effort for stupid drone that is worthless.

Drone repair costs equal to your e-cap. Frankly, that is crazy. Had I of known I was going to waste two weeks of doing the same missions over and over again to add a drone that sucks my e-cap empty in a matter of minutes, I would have found someplace better to be.

Yeah, I must concur, the idea of the drone is fine but the need to use energy fixing it when you have full membership is rediculous! The fact that when it's totally broken it costs you 100% of your energy level is also ridiculous : even your ship costs just over half and then you get 25% health back on matting! So why a 5% armour boost costs 100% energy when totally exhausted defies understanding!!

The drone is an ITEM and all items that use energy in the game have a NO energy use IF you have full membership! It's actually IN the membership description should you care to look.

There is a BIG difference between rematerializing and repairing a drone. The drone doesn't get damaged during combat, it slowly wears out (ie. runs out of energy), it is even mentioned in its description that it wears out while on a planet over time.

Thus I call for the drone energy requirements to be changed to reflect all other energy using items, based on the membership chosen.
