2 new parsec ships... while I was inactive

I have been inactive for about 7 months because i wasnt able to pay for the game anymore cuz the gamigo payments options for my country changed. Now im finally able to buy membership again thx to my bank and much effort.

Now im back and notice there is a parsec sniper and defender, ive always been hoping those 2 will appear in the game and now theyre there... only im a few months too late because they were just available during events... :/
I really like this game and Ive always been a parsec class pilot because i like that kind of ships and rare ships. Are those events coming back one day? Its really sad that the 2 new ships are not available in shop like the others...

I just cant be online every day and month, pls splitscreen make those ships available again. i have a few ideas how to make em available again:

- rare mantis drop also rare ship bps beside rare patterns (types depending on planet and system)

- just make the ships available in the shop for cryonite and an amount of gold (because the disruptor was available for gold during the eventweek and it wouldt be fair if it was now availble for free for all those who spent a lot of gold on it)

- ring 5 sirius bosses also drop the bps

In my opinion, these two prototype class ships should have never been available in those events, they should have just been released the same way the Dominator, Terrorizer and Constructor were.

why should one work hard to UNLOCK a prototype class ship.. then work even harder to actually BUY it? The fact that 2 PROTOTYPE class ships have gone rare is quite sad as those that favour the sniper and defender (or favour prototype ships overall) who have joined later on in the game (or those that couldn't achieve the ships during the event) know that they won't be able to achieve these ships again.

Please do make them available again, maybe during another event..

Agreed.

The events should have been themed more as release events where those who participated(or purchased the bps with gold) should have received an extra bonus such as a bit of extra armor or a slight discount on the main ship/armor, with the ships being released as standard prototypes upon the conclusion of the events (In their respective systems, i.e Sol hangar unlocks the disruptor, Draconis the defender, etc.).

Of course as with most of the new content that has been added since Sirius, a lot of it is essentially limited edition such as drones, mantis ships, and ancient ships (might as well be with the time it takes to get one) the best bet is just to wait for another bp release event in the future.

The full event was flawed spend at least 20mins a mission with a sq of 4-5 only to get 2 bps , they did the right thing with the drones i enjoyed that one, the thing they should do with the new prototype ships is either keep the event on for good or refund every one that spent gold on it and put the ship in the list like with all the other prototype ships then at least every one can have a pick of a prototype .

But we will see what happens the game is on a make or break now see what happens when they decide to put in big updates hopefully a new system

There have been ships only available via events and tournaments all the way through the game, so the new parsec class ships only available via an event is nothing new. Even though, I still think it's a bad way of doing it as everyone should be able to get all ships at anytime. If it's a special ship then make it hard to get over time, not a one off event.

A bit off topic this, but about the next update if/when it comes. As vermin alluded to, last month Splitscreen released a big update on Steel Legions so guess their time has been devoted to that for a while. In addition to this, yesterday they finally made Dino Storm Open Beta after 6 months of closed beta, so they're spending lots of time on that.

Add in a new company website (seems they now call themselves Splitscreen Games) and new partnerships with Amazon and a Polish internet portal, then I guess they've been pretty busy.

So now most of that is out the way what's next? Guess its Pirate Galaxy's turn.

Astraeus did mention in a post recently there's some big new updates in the pipeline. Unfortunately he couldn't say when so it could be another 6 months for all we know.

I agree with sd1, the game is at a make or break stage. If they screw up the next big update it'll die the usual slow death of all screwed up on-line games.

This game is allready screwed up and slowly dying. How many players do you see in lower systems?
How many guys helping out? Hardly any. The ranking system is blocked. It was easy to do the math on active players. Not anymore. GM's ? Maybe 1 or 2 occassionally online.

The utter boringness of Sirius and the totall stupidity of not knowing when and where to get a BP. Hoping for a squad to join. Shooting for days with people to get enough BP's. The BP's you need spread out over god know's how many ridiculous planets that come and go. Nothing you can do on your own, except finding the same crap patterns from the only mantis you can shoot alone.

Endless grinding with penalties.

You know what u done wrong? it feels like work. Not like a game. It feels like there is no aim and control anymore. You cannot go to a place and gather what you need. You can just hope and pray for the right planet.

The attraction is long gone, the adventure too.

Just friends keep me comming back for a laugh.

The parsec ships ?? My parsec was turned into very timeconsuming rubbish as soon as the new system came out. All I can do is just grind and grind for more armour. And that means no fun buying and flying other ships. There will allways be a few probably unemployed people that have the time to sit behind te pc and shoot like forever to get enough cryo to rig the thing up.

It will be a big disappointment, that ship will prove to be wort nothing in Sirius. Bosses will kill ur turrets in a few shots. Mines attracht loads of aggro. And the armour?? Might be strong, but not enough to survive long. So have fun.
