Considering that TC4 should be the Mantis planet it would not wonder me if those are Mantis Hives cus basically the Mantis Hive we explored is just an massive ship designed to suck the energy from a planet while at the same time be an carrier to transport the troops.

yes but it was predicted that the mantis hive is their homeworld (in mizar first time), but learned in story that it is basically an mantis mothership aka planet eater. i wouldnt be surprised if there is now another queen in this planet. its an paralel universe and it should be similiar as calon right?ok i guess both planets have an living core, calon has the entity.. so this planet must have an living core too..

now that you mention that, probably kinda awkward the way the mantis hive in draconis is described "where mantis originate from". Might want to change that XD

if you look to the planet surface the hive seems like thats its alive. mantis used to come up from the ground to the planet surface. some of the bigger mantis ships you can see are build up there too. i think the hive is eating planets to power up their queen and then creating the mantis. so they are orginate from the hive theoretically.

+ there could be more than one mantis queen and i think we will see something like that on the mantis planet that doesnt eats planets as the hive did. and the interaction with the ancients or maybe brotherhood members would be interesting storyline. i m so hyped for part 4..

aand @Eredin i didnt understand what these two flying objects are the pics are blurry

The real question is then just the following:
If it really gives more then just one Hive where are the other ones located considering the fact that we have not seen them in the other System next to Draconis so far.

The only instance where the Mantis Hive may show an potential outcome of a Planet is Technatoria in Gemini after it was sucked from its energy and in the end just cracked but if my memory is correct during the Story of Gemini the planet was cracked open from Vam Doom in order to get the Artifact.

To be honest I would imagine there would be thousands of hives across a load of star systems. The mantis swarm probably conquer countless amounts of systems but we just don't go there since it might not be essential and the only reason as to why we would go to these few systems is because important things are located there such as artifacts and the ancients (who can help guide end the mantis).

yeah.. i can't imagine how terrible the storymissions will be.. part 1 was not that hard. part 2 was stressful and you did need alot fire-power and also repair skills. part 3 was a head thing for accomplish the missions, but in the end you needed so much fire-power that not even the orbitalstrikes help out enough.

earth was hard too.. after part 3 was live i remember the storymission 'tringulation trap' it always failed in the landingzone after finished up the three points. very exhausting stressfull mission ever. i needed 5 attempts to finish it. first solo hunt the three points with paragneiss and then i took my domi and followed the swarm. i have an video from it the most ugly mission was 'worse to come' this was also hard because it was an endless fight with no end. after more than 20 attempts we finished this mission what happened then.. dark premonition.. three pilots wants to kill the relaystation.. we ignored the giza and focused on killing the r-station. parsec strom, emp and hump. only 10 sec left and 2% hp.. burned the relaystation with thermoblast, but it was over.. 1% and 0 sec left.. earth was way harder back then, now its easier.


aaand months ago we killed the relaystation as fun in the mission 'catch him if you can' much much cryos and bps yamyamyam

Nah it would be way more scary if they would not just be in orbit but maybe always "look at you" with their head following your moves over the planet giving the constand feeling of being watched an insecure if they will fire or not

At Askone also known as "Triang Fun" and god have we done this mission a lot with OC (Outside Cover). Luckily I "only needed" 3 or 4 attempts for this mission but i know also Pilots who needed up to 40 attempts to beat this mission alone due of the insane failing conditions that are even more anoying in sq cus it only needs to have one pilot who pods or is outside the mission area to fail it.

Mostly the part where they had to stay away from the Sigo but also in the range of the area was the failing reason (thx rndm Sky OS with insta Pod abilities) and the pilot either had no e left to selfmat or it was a 2nd pod after the 1st one during the following part.

Depends on how you do it cus it gives one nice seting for the locations where it is easily doable cus no outside units will then interfere on the spot.

Isn´t that the Mission "Battle for Earth"? Dark Prem was from my memory the part where we had to fly from Venar to Antares escorting 3 ships to CSL while mantis waves landed in the 1st part and at the 2nd part the Ancients attacked and we had then to take the long way back to the lz.
