Today i will systematically rectifying the cryonite amount in the accounts of around 300 pilots. I'm want to be transparent about the process so you understand how i get the figures.

I will be looking at all 300 accounts at between 9.55 pm and 10.10 pm this is duration of the mistake I made. I will take the highest count from around 10.10pm which had large jumps in cryonite and subtracting the original number from around 9.55pm. Then i will delete this cryonite from your account.

If you bought any ships with this cryonite you will end up with negative cryonite count but I will also delete any ships that you bought with the cryonite and adding the full amount to your account so hopefully you will no in the black again.

If you donated to clan or bought only armour or weapons for your ship, you will definitely be in negative cryonite and i will not remove these...think of it as an advanced loan which you pay back from grinding back to positive cryonite count.

I will not punish anyone for using the cryonite since it was my mistake but using the cryonite will just make it harder for me to get an exact figure for what you legitimately earned. If there is any problems after the fix of your account, please send a ticket to support describing the problem and I will see to it.
what about if you've already gottena new ship and put armor and a gun on it? the other day i got a bugged drop of 13k cry from a pyro and decided to save it, but the temptation was too much to get a mizar ship....would you let me keep it and i can grind the amount spent back to positive amount or do you have to sell it?

For the sake of fairness to all players, I do hope every cry on every user that got it will be removed and items likewise.

No matter if it was 10k-30k-50- or 1 mil, it's still more that what those players who was not online got.

im almost glad i missed it now, it seems such a fuss. im sure there is a way the devs can extract the cry you gained accurately.

And what with the ppl that gave it to there clan? They are now really poor, if some clans have bought a sol cq with it,

thats not splitscreens problem, anyone that knows how spltscreen works would have known this was a bug and that they would take the cryo back. the simple facts are the cryo drop was a bug and its in splitscreens tos if anyone is caught taking advantage of a bug it is punishable with a full ban. it was clear the cryo drop was a bug and to use the cryo is your own stupid fault

I would've used the ban hammer if I was Delloda.

And, in my evil thoughts, I came up with how I would have addressed the situation in regard to those that bought and upgraded ships... Sell the weapons off of them, refund that, then subtract the cryonite for the ship and armor from their account leaving them with tons of debt and a ship they can't even use. :devilish: Worse than a ban there...

the post i wrote explains everything i am doing to rectify the problem. Let me reiterate my process:

1. I calculate the total amount collected during the period of mass cry drop and delete it from the pilot. You will be in negative cryonite.
2. I check to see which ships were bought after the time period using the cryonite and refund the complete amount including all armour upgrades. You will be in less negative cryonite or back to positive.

I will NOT delete ships that were bought before the problem even if there are armour upgrades bought with the illegal cryonite and it is impossible to refund clan contributions thus some pilots will still be in negative cryonite after i have processed their account.

Some pilots have asked if they can keep their ships and suffer negative cryonite. If i see them online while I am processing their account i will allow it but not if it is a parsec class ship.

And what about ppl that have spend more then 100K in the clan? They can better start over cause thats a lot of cry.

Rectification : this wans't a bug but a human mistake. A few seconds before the mistake took place, there was a notifciation of an event "Red Sunday will start 2 hours earlier". So, everyone who didn't know what Red Sunday was, thought this was an event. Noone took advantage of a bug.

I'm not claiming that everyone who was "lucky" to be online at the moment of the mistake, should be able to keep everything. But in my opinion those players are being punished bigtime now. When a players ends up with for example 200k negative cry, how in the world will he ever be able to catch up? All he will be doing for weeks is grinding for cry, nothing else. He will get very bored very soon and leave the game.

Shouldn't there we looked for a solution which won't punish the players who weren't online, nor those who were? There was no cheating, no hacking involved, only a human mistake.

We have told someone in our clan not to spend the cryonite that they had, they went out and bought all vega ships then completed all Vega missions, then got into Antaris and bought all Antaris ships and is now in Gemini in less than 24 hours games play.

Is this fair to those who didn't get the cry drops, who have to grind and grind to get any cry at all?

Yes they will end up in negative, whose fault is that though? It was a human mistake and what has happened after has happened due to human greed.

Maybe rather than moan and complain those low levels could be reset to zero cry which would be hard enough and those above rank 50 who should know by now that they would have been penalised for spending could be set at -10,000 cry if they are below zero or set to zero if they spent anything, into the extra cry they received.

Sadly though if they have put all the money into a clan fund and can now get Mizar and Sol conquest ships then this could be seen to be unfair on other clans.

All I can say is I am glad I am not a GM at this moment as what ever happens people will cry unfair.

I was online but AFK when all this happened. Came back right after it had been corrected. I told players in my clan, do not spend any of the cry they had just gotten. I told them to wait and see what happens. Said I was 99.9% sure that it would be removed from their accounts.

What did some of them do? Went and spent it. Now several of them are in negitive cryonite. They should have listened.

Since i'm doing it one at a time, if you want me to process your pilot quicker, just post our pilot name here and it will jump the queue.
