This is an alloy. It is purchasable in the shop under "ship alloys". this is the antimatter alloy and i remember spending around 100k gold for it. it is a permanent upgrade that applies to all your ships. it also grants 3% speed, armor, and firepower.

Additionally, if you finished the final story mission "Face off", and have enough gold skulls, you can find alloy blueprints for each system of ships. howevr this is level 99 content and it does not come with the 3% boost

SHIP ALLOYS: MORE COLORS, LESS RESTRICTIONS

Customization → Motivation → More Remnant Hunting

On Korell, Ship Alloy Remnants are often ignored.

The main reason is simple:

The reward is very specific to certain ship families, while the visual variety is still quite limited.

01 // MORE COLORS

Currently we mostly have:

Blue / Red / Green

Why not add:

Cyan / Yellow / Orange / White / Black / Pink / Violet

Different shades could also work well.

More colors would add variety without affecting gameplay balance.

02 // FEWER SHIP RESTRICTIONS

Ship Alloys are split across categories such as Ancient, Methatronic, AnIn, ne0n and others.

That makes many Remnant drops irrelevant if the player does not use the matching ship type.

A Remnant can therefore occupy a spawn while nobody nearby actually wants its reward.

A more universal Alloy system would make these drops useful for more players.

Also: how is the HyAn Mutilator Parsec classified (Hybrid Antares)? Does it count as AnIn or is it excluded?

03 // CUSTOMIZATION SHOULD START EARLIER

Customization should not feel like something reserved almost entirely for endgame.

Basic Ship Alloy colors could be available earlier, while rare versions stay tied to difficult Remnant content.

That would give newer players more ownership over their ships while keeping special rewards valuable.

04 // DOMINATOR MOCKUP

I made a quick AnIn-1 Dominator mockup showing how additional colors could look:

The idea is simply to recolor the same surfaces already affected by the existing Ship Alloy while keeping the original ship design intact.

05 // ONE INTERESTING STATISTIC

How many Ship Alloy Remnants are destroyed by players, and how many despawn because nobody wants that specific Alloy?

If many are ignored until they disappear, that could be a useful indicator of how attractive the current system really is.

More useful customization rewards could make Ship Alloy Remnants worth hunting instead of worth avoiding.

alloys and engine trails are filler bps so players farm remnant and 9th slots slower so why the hell would you ask for more of those just make them a generic bp and when installing choose the color

With this I implied that Ship Alloys should be customizeable from Vega on. Would be the best in hangar and just select like a Color Pattern. In my other big post I suggested also that engine trails should also be early game content and easy to unlock or even free at the beginning.

I agree that having visual customization earlier on the game would be beneficial but do we even have new players? obviously splitscreen won't give us the numbers of that but I doubt it's viable without an increased playerbase.
Also having it available on the gold shop would be nice

What's that?

I agree with you there, but the funny thing is that the purchased alloy doesn't really make sense. Why? 1. You can now go to find the alloy in the endgame. It's not that easy and fast. 2. The 3% bonus from the purchased alloy doesn’t work in Pirate Mode, but the other boosters do—though they’re automatically disabled in PvP and Colossus when you enter combat. That was overlooked with the purchased alloy. So the alloy you find as BP should also provide a certain bonus.

@KingSub and @sergi211

Suggestion:
As I see it now a good solution that could generate more revenue for Pirate Galaxy and reworking Ship Alloys is:
1) Remove 3% perma bonuses and current Ship Alloys
-> refund all players the gold spent for the permanent Ship Alloy

2) Standard Ship Alloy stays blue
-> add all Ship Alloy Colors into shop without 3% bonuses
( Red / Green / Cyan / Yellow / Orange / White / Black / Pink / Violet (/Gray))
-> each costing 20K gold (e.g.)
-> selectable for every ship and every configuration permanently

3) Add Ship Skins
- add skins into the game for specific spaceships into the shop (Starting with Classic parsecs or doing a community votes on which Spaceship deserves a new skin)
- small design changes: 10K Gold and full redesign change: 25K Gold (e.g.)
