I have a drone A103 Visor BP Tracker (15%),I need a BP, but when I go to the planet it says: 17-21% reduced chance for finding loot. Will my drone compensate for the interest, i.e. 21-15=6%?

I believe that BP chance boosters are multiplicative, meaning your final modifier would be:
1 * 1.15 * 0.79 = 0.9085 (90.85%)
Base x Drone x Penalty (100 - 21 = 79)


I'm not 100% certain of that info as that is hard to determine in-game, anyone with proof to correct me, feel free to do so.

Interesting formula, it could have been made much easier 21% - 15% = 6%... Thanks!

You no need look at this.
Just stay on old rule - 1 max 2 system higher ship for find golds on lower systems.
If you are able kill more enemys even 50% not change much.
For example i was able done faster when i have more than 40% reduction loot than use system ship what give less than 10% reduction.
Key is fast kills not look at % reductions what anyway not works as should ^^

Just find good place with 2-3 spots with same enemys and kill them all ^^
