Yet again, Another event and youve lowered the cryonite drop to the point where its pointless even having that boost up. Killed 30+ MU's on R4 and got 1 drop. Killed 20+ R5 MU's and go no drops. Thats fair to you guys? Thats "working as intended"?!

Hello Pilot, :D

The cryonite dropchance didnt changed, there is no point in changing it without giving the proper information to the users, please dont give false affirmations.

As you know, the dropchance is a probability, and sometimes you can have bad luck

The thing is fission, this isnt bad luck, your actually telling me theres a point to playing a game that demands highly on cryonite when we kill 50 units and get nothing? Whats the point? Its been a bad drop rate for over a month now, infact since last event, but this is just rediculous, and it definatly feels like you do change it because its funny how every event the same thing happens...

To throw myself in as an old Vet that have seen a lot of changes of the game let me say my 2 cents about the Cryo rates.

In the old times of PG when it was freshly released and the highest System was Antares and Gemini was already in the pipeline to be released the Cryo rate was something around ~66% what in translation meant that nearly every 2nd/3rd unit droped a Cryonite (Harvs didn´t drop a cryo at all during that time as well and Interc wheren´t really a farming thing).

When Gemini was released the drop rate of Cryo didn´t change at all and it took a while until Mizar was in the Line and in the moment it was known that mizar will make it possible to finally reach the level to buy one there was an interesting phenomenon to watch... the time where Pilots started to farm Cryo to be the 1st to purchase a Parsec when Mizar is out and the required lvl has been reached.

Knowing that Pilots with Gemini ships started to farm stuff at Lustra and it was easily a thing to get something around 50k/hour without an Cryoboost or even an Cryo drone cus if memory serves right those things wheren´t available during that time. The trick was simply to farm at a certain spot where Marauders, Avengers and Rocketeers where close by and thanks to the quick spawnrate you had something to shoot all the time.

With Mizar Split then had a fancy idea to "punish" pilots that used higher Tech in a lower system by reducing simply the worth of an Cryonite by X% but don´t change the droprate at all. So we still had the average rate of ~66% (2nd/3rd units drops a cryo) but the penalty was so heavy that it was basicly like collecting a Cryo from Vega at Gemini with a top Tech Mizar ship.

Cus the Pilots did complain a lot about this cus farming is meant to be done with better tech in a previous system Split removed this feature again and then implemented the "penalty of droprates" a bit later.

Sadly with that implementation they also reduced the general rate overall from ~66% to ~33% (belive me i did some tests about the rates every now and then it was nearly always the same pendeling between 30-35%) changing the ratio from every 2nd/3rd unit to every 4th/5th unit that drops a cryo. With an active penalty this even goes down further to nearly every 9th/10th unit.

Or in the very insane cases it gives rates that even feel like just 1% chance cus you shoot tons of units but none seem to drop any cryo at all. It might be coincidence it might be really bad luck but i made the same ammount of Cryo that i farm normaly within 1 hour without the global boost (and this for 4 hours straigt) and considering that i make normaly 100k+/hour it means i made 400k in 4 hours with the global boost active while under "normal" circumstances it should have been 600k+ (200k from 50% global boost a 50k/hour).

Farming is nice and dandy by Split sadly did turn into a wrong direction when they changed the whole Cryo system during Mizars time before Sol was released.

Like said my 2 cents about this whole Cryo drop rate thingy.
