Okay, I understand why the story missions have ship and tech level restrictions and I fully support these.
However, I'm wondering why the white missions got the same restrictions. After all, since these use Mantis that aren't mission-specific, unlike stories with pre-programmed Mantis, these Mantis can be shot at by anyone.
So, this means you can still get help from a higher level player, to kill the Mantis you need after you shot it just once. You'll still get the mission complete, the bp if it's a tech hunt, and the cry for completing the mission.
The restrictiosn have been implemented to keep people from being rushed through the game in a matter of days, with no effort at all.
There's no point in rushing anyone through white missions though, because they'll still get the bp if they only join a squadron with higher level ships and just grind for the tech he needs, without starting a white mission. And if they dó find a bp which they aren't supposed to have already, it'd still be useless since the bp itself is already level restricted.
By implementing the level restrictions to white as well, you've robbed people of the possibility to skip a few white missions, proceed with the story and come back later with a higher system's tech, to wrap up what they had skipped without having to bother anyone else for elp. I know many people did this and I did it myself.
In short: keep the story and tech restrictions for story missions, but remove them for white missions, since those are supposed to be optional and also because the restrictions are useless since they can be circumvented way too easily.
