Weird graphics issue that only happens in Pirate Galaxy. Tried everything to fix it.

Hi,

gregn has this weird graphics issue which i have been trying to help him fix.
Everything looks pink on quality settings Medium High and Ultra, on Low everything looks normal.
It only happens in Pirate Galaxy. We have tried other games and benchmarks like unigine and it doesn't happen there.
He is on Windows 11
Things we have tried:

Clean install of Pirate Galaxy
installing/reinstalling graphics drivers
installing/reinstalling Java, DirectX, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables
Windows Update
Also tried numerous other things like settings in his graphics software and Windows.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Hey, a friend is also having this problem, he recently bought a laptop and the same thing happens to him, in medium, high and ultra quality

So I can attest that you are not the only one, perhaps more people have already reported it to support, let's see if any dev shows up XD

Newer intel gpus do not support native directx9 anymore. Microsoft's D3D9On12 is used instead and of course has compatibility issues with many directx9 games. You could try using DXVK it might work better.

Just to clarify, will the necessary changes be made so that the game does not have these problems or is it necessary to submit a ticket?

Hello,

This issue is easy to fix if you have an nvidia graphic card:

- Right click on your desktop and open Nvidia Control Pannel (if you dont have it, download it from here https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nf8h0h7wmlt?hl=en-gb&gl=EN)
- Go to "Manage 3D Setting" and then "Program Settings"
- Then on "1. Select a program to customize" click on "add" and find "Zulu Platform x32 architecture" click on "Add selected program"
- Now on "2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program" you should have "Integrated" selected click on the drop-down menu and select "High-performance NVIDIA processor"
- On the bottom right of the program click on "Apply" then it should be fixed

Don't hesitate to send me a pm if you have any issue
At least, worked for Selethen22 and me. (especially when you have a new pc/laptop)

The issue was fixed by using DXVK. Thanks for the replies everyone!
