Is the lowest level Antares rocket better than the 'rare' Vega Venom Rocket? [If so, that's extremely stupid and there's no point in farming for the rares.] There's no way to tell, no module has visible stats. See the rocket before the Venom has the same rank/level, but the rare one is obviously better... How am I supposed to tell what is stronger/faster than what? -.-

the lowest blue Rocket in antares should be slightly more powerfull then the Vega Venom Rocket (the rare)

Well then yeah, what's the point of collecting the rares? It's a lot of work for something to simply collect and show off, especially early in the game. Is it the same way with the ships themselves? Are they worth it from a strength standpoint?

The Rares are usefull during Conquests, because in a Vega conquest you can not use your antares blueprint. For those situation its usefull to use rare gear. If you are trying to get trough a system and just need a bit of extra fire power you can install the blueprints of that system on your previous system ship. You will have a bit more strenght but havn't spent a whole lot of cryonite.

Rares in not only useful for Conquest, but also for many events like this ongoing now, you are only allowed to use Vega tech and Vega ship, your survival will be of higher % if you have a ship equipped with rares.

Also you will be stronger on Vega if you want to do the WM*s aka White Standard Missions, they will give you some cry more, and they will also teach you more the skill to play, and skill of survival, and while doing them you have lots of chances to find more rares.

You cannot do anything on Vega what request Vega ship/tech if you have an Antares blaster installed on it.
That counts for events, and missions.
You cannot even help a friend of your possibly in the future if you have mixed tech on your ship, with missions.

What would be wisely done is if you need a bit more powerful blaster on next system, you can install it on previous system ship, that will help you to grind for the top tech of a planet.

What you should not do, is if eg. you buy an Antares ship, and install Vega tech on it.

Tend always to keep 1 ship with tech for each system, the biggest clans where you one day might join, request you to have at least 1 ship per system preferable a ship fully rared up for the Conquests.

When you sell a ship and items you will only get back 50% and for armor you only get back on Vega Cq orbit when landing for a Cq, of course in Vega tech/ship.
It is the only armor you can sell, it gives you back 100%, so you'll be able to buy it back on any Antares Hangar or higher.
You will actually loose lots of hard work by selling ship/tech for 50%.

Rather then sell ships, grind a bit more, do wm's and get the full cry for to buy a higher ship and equip it with that system tech.
You can manage if you install to begin with, with the 4 generic items, aka Blaster(Bl), Repair Droid(RD), After Burner(AB), and a Collector(Coll), then when you get more cry start install the rest 1 by 1, try to ask higher players if you see some, what would be the best to install next in your type of ship.
