Because its an upper tier reg blueprint for second area where the vega is the gold version. Plus, all gold items tend to be more expensive even if they are not as good.
Gold tech is double the price of the top blue for each system, and is approximately 15% better. Example: vega top blue blasters cost 459, while rare blasters for vega cost 917 (one cryo below double the cost of blue). The reason for the difference in price is that the gold blueprints can be used in conquests and on colossus for pvp. Anything from vega will be weaker than anything in antares, even the bottom level of tech. The same idea applies for every system following those as well, aside from sirius singularity since its tech is different than that of other systems, and because that's when ancient tech will become available.
One other thing to think about is that hunting gold/rare tech for the system you are in will make the leveling and tech-finding process for the next system you reach slightly easier, and it is extremely difficult to pvp someone who has a 100% rare/ancient tech ship if you only have top blues. It's still possible, but it requires more practice and skill.
