Update Idea: ”Huge Mantis Zombie”
Yeah I have an new and wellthought idea for an new update and I would like to present it for you. I hope you will accept it because I places very much work in it and asked many who likes it too – Thats why I post it here on the forum to hear if other than the ones I asked may like the idea too and if there is enough support for it to get reality.
My idea is about a huge mantis wich may spawn in every system and can take a lot of damage, never repairs and gives good cry to every player in the system when shot down. Not enough with that but the players will not argue about the cry dropped because there will be none. If a Mantis Zombie dies will ALL players beeing in that specific system get cryonite from it. No player placed in another system will get cry from it, so you have to be in the right system at the right time to get cry from it when it dies.
In Draconis its name will be Mantis zombie Pyro, in Sol Mantis zombie Signor, in Mizar Mantis zombie Detonator, in Gemini Mantis zombie Parasite, in Antares Mantis zombie Frenzoid and at least in Vega it will be Mantis zombie Sentinel.
The Mantis will spawn after 30.000 mantis beeing killed in the system it spawns in, there will be no message of it spawning – it will just spawn. The Mantis will do the same damage as the highest lvl mantis in the system – perhaps twice, but certanly not to much. You cannot escape the Mantis itself because all of them has an afterburner, and the afterburner has no cooldown at all. The afterburner will allso be twice as fast as the fastes rare afterburner in the current system. After it has shot down the player or all the players shooting at it, it will go to a random spot on the planet and shoot down the next player running into it (it will never go the landing zone unless somebody takes it there) and if u dont shoot at it when it shoot another player, it won’t hurt you but will fly to a random spot.
Every third hour it will orbit and fly to another planet in the system (never a CQ planet) and will stay there for 3 hours, and in that way it simply will travel between the planets in the system. When it orbits the damage taken will still be, it will not repair itself. First when the Mantis zombie dies another countdown will start for a new Mantis zombie in the system.
The Mantis zombie itself is 20.000 times stronger than a normal system ship with the strongest armor. But after all it will die if you shoot at it when it attacks you or if you stick together in a group and shoots at it (an engineer would be good to keep the player alive the zombie is shooting at) and even if many will be killed by it an loose cryonite – then dont cry – the reward is even better. The cryonite drop will depend on the system it beeing shot down in and it will give the same amount of cryonite for every player online in the current system when shot down.
Cryonite drop per Mantis zombie:
In Draconis it will give 200 k cryonite to each player in the system.
In Sol it will give 100 k cryonite to each player in the system.
In Mizar it will give 50 k cryonite to each player in the system.
In Gemini it will give 25 k cryonite to each player in the system.
In Antares it will give 15 k cryonite to each player in the system.
In Vega it will give 7,5 k cryonite to each player in the system.
Hopefully it will be acceptable compared to the size and price – you will not get enough to overdo and not that less to cry because of it. The reason to keep it that high is as told because the Mantis can take 20.000 times the damage of an normal system ship with full armor.
And in order not to spawn it to often, you have to shoot down 30.000 mantis in the current system to unleash one. That means because of a couple of harvester grinders can farm one out within a day or two (mostly draconis players).
The Mantis will look like the mantis named after- but they are as big as a rare mantis and have a green scull right in the middle and some other things that let it look a bit like a zombie.
And as said before you cannot stand the chance to shoot at it when it engages you because you know you are doomed. So never the less it has to die sometimes, even if it takes long time – but never think you will loose more cry then you will gain on it when they dies – because who is that stupid to die against it a 200 times, and it is not only the player killing it that will gain from it, but all the players online in the current system at the time?
Equipment on them:
Draconis: Termoblast, Blaster, speed accurator, and special afterburner
Sol: Sniper blaster, blaster, orbital strike, and special afterburner
Mizar: blaster, aggrobomb (not a sort killing itself), attack charge, og speciel afterburner
Gemini: blaster, perforator, and special afterburner
Antares: blaster, speed accurator, and special afterburner
Vega: Blaster, and special afterburner
But all of this is just an idea – and I have given my best to do a good job because I would be glad to get it in the game – and the numbers given is only what I expect to be okay. But I would like it to be about that. Of course it is okay to make changes but I would like it to be something big traveling around for days without dying. I am waiting excited for an answer and if you don’t use my idea then please let me know.
