Titans for PG?

For those who don't know, there are Titan ships in *** *******. These are very expensive ships, and very huge. In EVE, once you have these and when you switch into them, you can't switch back into anything else and these can take years to be built.. (however just like every other ship in eve, if you get destroyed in a titan, then you lose it forever).

Anyways how about giving us these titans in PG? They will be really huge ships, won't be able to go into very tiny roads(like in Baumar) and can destroy every ship within a 5 mile radius around them through a giant aggrobomb weapon.

These ships will have high HP and the only downside will be the absence of Repair droid. Also one will be unable to heal it even with an engineer. Once you are in these ships, the only way to switch to a different one will be to get podded and respawn in a hangar. here are its capabilites

1)Blaster
2)Collector drones( these drones go around and collect cryonite(and energy) around the titan
3)Speed Actuator - instead of a afterburner, a speed actuator will be set in place
4)heat seeking multiple rockets - These rockets will hit multiple targets in their range. No aiming necessary
5)attack Drones - similar to the sniper drone but multiple drones(about 4) are deployed in titans
6)Shield Disabler - This is similar to the power that the giant drone(in Antares mission has). It can disable shields of multiple enemies near the titan.
7)Jumper - this power enables the titan to teleport to another location on map through a wormhole it creates
8)Doomsday weapon or giant aggrobomb - This weapon sets a giant aggrobomb around the ship. This weapon instantaneously kills every weak around the titan or it lowers the HP of anything else near it.

Pros:
Very strong weapons
good in squad attacks

Cons:
HP is not that high(for example a meta titan will have the Hp of a level 60 tank)
No repairs(except in hangars)
Only good when escorted

I too was thinking something alike, I find that it is a great idea, SS should definitely introduce a variety in sizes of ships, not just the CQ ships. If anyone thinks this will make the game unfair, compares the PvP in this game with E-O, all ships in E-O have weaknesses and advantages, like, huge ships find it extremely difficult to destroy smaller ships, and smaller ships will also find it more difficult to destroy huge ships,(unless they travel in groups). Maybe this should be the same for PG too? Well, something like it, the titan class ship would still deal a lot of damage to weaker ships. Anyway, here's an example of hows things should be like:
To construct a titan class ship, you'll need a lot of cryonite, much more than the level 50 class ships (or maybe you should make the level 50 class ships like the titans? So it would still be an achievement if you are able to achieve a level 50 ship)and when you pay for the construction of a titan, it would take approximately 30 days for the construction to complete. After the construction has completed, the titan will be in your hangar, you can equip it with components(the first components of the titan are NOT found via mantis, but are already available through the shop, but to get stronger components you'll have to hunt mantis), and basically do anything a normal ship can do. The titan should also be slower than the other ships, due to its size. They should also have their very own type of blaster, since you would barely be able to see normal weapons on it. The blaster would be much stronger than the normal blasters. Like I said, the titan class would be extremely huge and powerful, here's the statistics:

Titan class ships can either be created by money from the clan fund, they can be used inside AND outside CQ's, but can only be assigned to members by Captains or Admirals(not officers). OR, you yourself can save up for one to use anywhere you like, without having to have one assigned to you(Would most likely take you a lifetime of savings though).

30% damage bonus against mantis(maybe against players as well) to all members of squadron.

PS: Maybe the Titan class should be the best of all the level 50 ships, and should possibly be the greatest achievement that someone could achieve in this game? Also, maybe the name should change from titan to something like Colossus or Apocalypse? Example: 'AnIn-1 Apocalypse'

This really wouldnt work on this game without a major new update and change. I was thinking about this, and as much as i like the idea of motherships (pretty much what your talking about) I think there is only one way this would work.

Conquests.

Take the normal CQ system, you have a ship you must protect and destroy the other teams ship. If you scaled this up, imagine having a giant ship thats very slow moving, with multiple weak points like engines, cockpit, command towers etc. The opposing team would have to destroy all these weak points to win the cq, and each one once destroyed would have an adverse effect on the mothership. For example, destroyed engines would mean the ship is unable to move, etc.

KEY NOTE

These are one per alliance, so it doesnt get over crowded. They are also ai controlled, making it impossible to chicken and run away during combat if you start losing. Each clan is only allowed a 5 man squad down maximum, to prevent lag. The cqs will be much more frequent thought so that members who miss out can attend other cqs. The alliance will have a savings pot which you can donate to, and repairing these ships will cost considerable cryonite.

no levy system!

This should result in a much more tactical game, eg: do you defend yours, split your squads up or go all out and destroy the enemy as fast as you can? and as the teams will always be balanced there shouldn't be any ganging. This will also mean that alliances will hold planets, not clans. So the problem of "such and such clan did all the work but we want the planet an they get no reward" will be removed. You could also have options such as different types of cq ship (storm shcok engineer sniper defender tank. etc.

This will probably require a cq alliance chat, only available at cqs.

i like your idea but i highly doubt that ss will make this happen

thank you for all that help. But that price tag is pretty hefty. Even with the best boosters, it will still take more than a year, and looking at how Splitscreen has drastically reduced the loots, i think cry farming for that ship will make people quit the game :p

how about dropping the price tag to about that of the parsec.. and the armors are also the same..

Why you want make pg have titan ships as in EVE? i dont like ppl that wants things from other games in this game

guys come on lets not "hate" the idea ive got to admit i like it i think the price tag is good (call me crazy) but you have big clans in the game such as on askone (loyal elites, Sk Assassins, illuminati and many many more)
i know there going to be people hating the idea because of the grinding aspect of it but theres ways around it such as clan missions alliance missions and for example for a alliance missions you have to take out a tonne of mantis im not talking probs idk like a hive mission or somethink im on about collosall amounts of mantis and yes it is going to take time to do it but i think the amount of activities and oppertunitys this will open up is crazy a game i play wont say the name but basicly good game to start with then they decided it was all about the money and not about the players i played it for 4 years seen the good and bad but towards the end it was a 2-d game and the lagg i got on it was crazy 15 fps and i get 60 fps on pg anyways back to the idea i love it completely it gives the game an edge

ok PG is called Pirate Galaxy now what do we know about pirates?
there backstabbing, they pillage, they destroy each other , they kill other pirates off to gain "gold" in there eyes in ours (Cryonite) lets introduce aswell as the ship for that aswell CQ's and killing other pirates and stuff lets take it to anouther level with sirus coming out soon we all hope sure grindings going to get more annoying so lets make "Wars" available basicly we can either go to war with a clan or alliances but of course theres stakes on the line if you do go to "War" first is a payment of cry this is not a small payment anythink depending on the size of the clan/alliance can be anythink from 0-2million cry but the clan/alliance gains bounty, cry, and possibly a title depending on howmany killed stuff like that title means the leading clan/alliance defeated the opposing clan/alliance gets alot of bounty and cry and other items there so many things we can do just by doing the titan ship it unlocks so much more and other reasons to do it also i think it will make everyone work together which is what i love please think about this as its alot of hardwork but the advantages are endless :)

bud think of it this way ... think of a building instead of "copying" and making it look the same you take the aspects of the building and make it your own as bits in take bits out stuff like that where rethinking ideas of how this ship sure its expencive but the amount of ideas is crazy its like a brain storm and ive got to admit i am really liking it
