Tips and tricks on StoryMissions

Hi pirates,

I'm having problems doing one particular sm on Baumar: "Help fighters".
I tried it over and over again but failed.
I use a "MST-FF1 Fusion Storm" lvl 42 completely equiped with mizar bps, so the ship should not be the problem. PM this issue to previous GM on Askone but they could not give me an answer.

My feeling tells me that the time indicator states 60 secs; and i am sure i completed it within this timeframe.
Attacks from other alies are discarded just kept flying towards the bases.
So if anyone has suggestions plz let me know because otherwise i get stuck on Baumar; i did however do many yellow missions succesfully but that should not be the problem.
Don't give me plain pilot errors because after at least 15 attempts this sm ought to be finished by now.

I dont remember this mission but anyway most of baumar missions require a good ab and possibly a tank.They can be done with other ships.All I remember is that I done this mission alone and all other baumar ones.So give it another try.Im sure in many missions u fail more than 15 times.U still havent tried operation weakpoint lol.

i won weakpoint on 2 nd try lol... but gaining entry it's a hell of a mission.

you need to get afterburner from level 39, (baumar best)
then keep using all the time ab when its ready, you will pass it. i was having same problem done it many times!

just keep using ab all the time, don't stop. and do it as solo, don't take a squad. ignore the time, just do it.

Thx guys,

I solved the problem. My afterburner wasn't strong enough to do all the quick turns.
Bought some afterburner booster and the sm was done in a blink off an eye; took me just under 55 secs to complete. So everyone who has the same problem, buy afterburner booster (15%) increase and that should do the trick.

I did it with a gemini stun,

A stun can reloads faster then is even simplier

i did it in a mizar tank with a turbo afterburner..
you gotta have a decent afterburner.

i did 22 of the 30 missions in mizar solo
like said above most missions u do on afterburner n scrambler/repair

help fighters can only be done solo fyi

if i can do it... well... lol

It had a bug that it couldn't be done in a squad, but as what I know, this bug was corrected, or the info I got was that it was corrected.
Anyone doing this mission, please inform and let us know if it still bugs in squad.
Bug appeared when you had finished the first spot fight, it didn't update the next mark on the map when in squad, alone it worked just fine.
All the advices of having the best ab from Baumar is right, you don't have to buy a booster, just simple get the best ab.

Tried it in mizar storm with a mizar-grade ab, but it was too powerful and kept crashing into the walls and slowing me down (probably my lousy flying had something to do with it too !!). Finally did it in my gemini storm with gemini ab, found it was much more manouverable in those damn canyons.

And I agree, Gaining Entry mish is a b*tch !!!

Yeah, I remember doing this in my Gemini tank with Gemini ab on it, because it ultimately is faster than a Mizar ship with best Baumar ab. (If you don't have the rare, best Gemini ab should work just fine too).

Just keep an extra watchful eye out for those DS!
