1: Yes, still played
2: The amount of players depends on server
3: The ships have levels, so you need level to get starndard ships, there are some ships that you must search blueprints, and there are ships that you can only get on events ant just few ships that you must buy (these are from older events), on the customize, the basic customize is changing blasters (but you'll always put the best blasters you can) and the paintjob of the ship.
4: Don't know that game I've just seen a vido in youtube, it's the same moving concept, but the action takes place on planets and better graphics.
5: There are new ships on each system
6: The combat it's easy to learn, there are some basic skills (1: Shoot, 2: Collect, 3: Repair, 4: Afterburner), this are the only skills with the very first ships, with next ships you'll got up to 4 skills more that can be different depending on the ship type you select the basic types are: tank, storm, engineer and shock (there are more types on newer systems like sniper, defender and hybrid class)
