dont take this the wrong way splitscreen i know you cant make systems fast enough to keep up with players no one could, but once you got all the bps you need and done the story missions there is nothing to really do, there aint many players that pvp now and cq aint all that, this game needs a new twist to it something to sink your teeth into once you got your bps and level and ship you want somethin to make this game fun again, even if you take sol at a slow place like i did with the sol story missions you can easy do them all in 2 months at a slow pace, i love this game but god im so bored of it and i really dont want to be, this game needs something new to really spice things up abit to put you on the edge of your seat and to give the game more staying power for players and give them a reason to keep playing, what this thing is i dont know i wish i did but thats what developers are paid for, i know im the only one sayin this but im sure i speak for alot of players

Retro,

Sadly my friend, you are right . . . BORING! But, there are things we can do to improve the situation. Everybody might try putting their "thinking caps" on, and make a suggestion or two to SS where they might take this game to next. I do not mean just the next solar system, but the direction of the game focus as it continues to grow.

For this task you have to have a great imagination and the ability to conjure up a fantasy that will interest SplitScreen enough to consider it. From there it becomes their responsibility to move forward with it. Of course, I have no idea whom one would talk to about reviewing a players suggestions, or if SplitScreen would even consider such suggestion. But, what if they would . . .

The problem is, the missions all have the same idea. Collect "e", fight mantis, collect blueprints, rank up, build your ships, and continue progression towards the next system. But, what if that were to change?

What if suddenly, out of the blue, the Juggernaut or another of the bad guys appeared and captured a player, enslaving that player to a desolate planet to perform mining in the original Vega ship, on a violent planet where the Juggernaut directs your actions forces PVP, and the only way out is by players finding certain artifacts which provide the player weaponry and important navigation data to mount their escape?

Okay, what can I say! It sounded like a good idea when I thought of it. LOL! Far too much free time on my hands I guess. hey, just go out and shoot somebody and create a little excitement for yourself. Have them make one of the SOL CQ planets the only place to get "e" for the system, and the only way to gain access is in Pirate Mode.

I got a million of them. Ideas, that is. Too bad the space between my left and right ears is possibly being controlled by a mantis that is disguised as a plant and I am forced to do his bidding . . .

Suddenly, going out to kill a few mantis seems like a better idea than listening to this nut-case imprisoned in the forum, and the game a little less boring. lol!

ok I was going to post this as a completely seperate thread, but I guess it belongs here.

Challenge system- A system with planets solely for very hard missions where you have to wipe out a certain number of mantis, with a time limit, or race with a very strict time limit, or plant bombs, escort ships, etc. They could be designed for each different level of ship. Each mission would have a ranking to show how hard it is, and A large number of cryonite could be rewarded.

Large e balls would be available (1-2k each) for refilling in the mission.

For example, for the sol class ships there could be a fight where you have to kill 3 Lord Fam Dooms, or in Vega it could be four or five juggernaughts. Squadding up would be essential for these missions. The reward could be a LARGE cryonite bonus, and once all the challenges are completed, a new skull could be rewarded on the pilots profile.

Cryonite does not drop in the system, as the missions would be almost impossible to do without podding.
The planets could be named after the systems, so there would be six planets to play, vega, anteres, gemini, mizar, sol and draconis. The rewards would be relative to the system, so the reward would increase each system.

There would be a large number of missions, nearly the same amount as there are story missions, but they would have twists to make them extra hard. For example, the escort ships in an escort mission would die in 2 or 3 hits, so would be very difficult to protect.

Right at the end, the last mission could be a really hard final boss that is not found anywhere else. (something like the huge alien ship) There would be a different final boss for each system, and each one would have every ability that is available in the respective system.

Obviously the ships used for these missions would have to match the system.

I think this would make the game really interesting for those of us who have finished everything else.

So, what u all think? :devilish:

Hence the new cq system.
yes but it is still a cq not something new, if you read what i said i said this game needs something new NOT something re vamped. I think after a few weeks of the new cq system when everyones cryo runs out the new cq system will be even worse then the old one

I did make a suggestion for those who had gotten all BPs and finished Sol etc

Make bonus missions that give alot more cry then any ordinary white mission, or to do a bonus mission to kill more mantis, like the story mission mantis,

Aswell as those, there could be missions that give lower cry then white missions, but can be repeated

some good idea's there, Lance but with some fatal flaws.

1. Will take immense amounts of resources. i.e Time and Cost.
2. Will actually reduce our income that pays for the resources.
3. Potential to mess up the game economy.

So no.

Plans are afoot! We are moving one step at a time to minimise mess up! I've seen the road map and it's rosy.

Much later i hope... if it gets released bu June... I mean, either they have invnted a time machine, or they would have created the most terrible failure in gaming history...

Atleast 9 months.

Draconis is a Mantis Breeding ground the community expects dramatic graphics, i mena huge fields of hexagonal organic-ish cells and other stuff, i mena totally spectacular graphics, like Earth.
These things just don't get created in 3 months.

Will probably take longer than that. It takes some time to make a whole new system with missions, ships, bps etc.
