Hi pirates,

He's a thought i would like to present:

For the ultimate game experience you should exeperience the cockpit-view. PG is build for a overall lookaround. Ppl can look outside their ships what goes on in the surrounding area.

Why not create an option to experience the cockpit (feeling)view. Your looking through your window and see what goes on in real-time. In headsup display you'll get your radar and weapons. Real motions and sounds when you get shot at or stunned. Give the player the feeling he's actually in the game not circling above his ship. Let the cockpit shake and give it some real sounds. The chat should be replaced in hearing the conversation through his speaker. Replace the chat option. Every player should use teamspeak; if not then leave the chat-option available.
For example: when fighting a sniper present it's in equal size looking through your cockpit window. Let the player experience the feeling what this game is all about.

These improvements should enhance the pirate-feeling considerably and i know it's a lot of reprogramming for SS. It also requires a lot of the players to get to know (learn) how it's like in a real cockpit.

I think it improves the strong and ultimate feeling what goes on inside the ship when playing.

Let me know how you think about it. I know it would require a lot of reprogramming but in my opinion it would get the game to a higher level. It requires more skills of the players and the get the real pirate feeling when playing it.

Not only would this be a good idea but also maybe a good health idea. Many people get sick and dizzy from looking outside the ship however, in cockpit view they can play the game feeling like they not outside spinning everywhere.

The speakerthing could be solved by using ts.

Maybe SS would think about this option.
It's the ultimate experience for pilots to feel how his or her ship reacts and flies during sm, pvp or events.

Who know maybe SS could consider this option so i adds a new feeling to best best game in the Galaxy.

Thx for the great responds; now see what SS thinks about this idea.

Cheers

Just design the ship 's cockpit an locate the camera inside.
Then zoom out in third person to get the current view....

Hum, is that so easy ?

I wouldnt know that. I'm no (re)programmer.

Maybe SS designed the game as we see it; perhaps they havent thought about this option; maybe too much programming (time + money).

All in all my idea should earn some support and maybe an answer from SS how they think about this option.

Nice idea over-all, How ever, the TeamSpeak issue...its up to the players to buy/use it, not the Devs, ive seen (and played) games where TS is used (and upheld by the players) En Masse, you(r clan) can choose to use TS if they want, end of. other then that...cool idea....

A TeamSpeak look-alike in PG has the problem that there's going much information over the internet.
Slow computers will stuck on it.
