After years of development and an insanly high and airtight security protocoll the Raven Dynamic Corporation has finally created something that every Pilot will love.

This ship is capable of beeing equiped like you want to equip it.

Want to have a ship that has nothing but firepower by cramping all sort of weaponary into it? - No problem
You prefer to be the supporter and cripple your enemies at the same time? - Even that is possible

The RDX Prototype knows no limits and not bounds. Just tell our manufacturer what items you want to have installed and we will build your ship (If you have the Cryonite for it of course)

I know that such an idea/suggestion has poped of from time to time but it never gave an real idea about this how it could be implemented into the game but some Pilots want to fit their Ship like they think it would be the best loadout but it gives no real ship so far that can do this.

I took the inspiration from another game where you basicly had a fixed ship design but you could decide what module slots should be available (who has played the game knows what i mean but cus of certain rules i can´t name it directly.)

As Classification (and cus it´s already called an RDX) it would count as Raven Dynamics Parsec so that the prices are clear for the purchase and the armors.

However the issue so far is how should such a ship be implemented without making every other ship obsolete?
An realtive easy and simple answer would be to "lock" the ship build once you have selected the items you want to have in it. So as an example let´s use this layout when you wanna build the ship:
1. Sniper Blaster
2. Collector
3. RD
4. AB
5. Prot
6. Rep Target
7. Rep Tur
8. Rep Field

Once build the setup can´t be changed anymore or replace an item like for example you want to replace the Rep Field with the Attack Drone... or better said you can´t change the setup for free. In case of the question "Will it be possible to install a item more then 1 time (for example 2 Sniper Blasters)?" - Simply said no (even when the AI has the "unfair" advantage of multiple weapons of the same type) cus it otherwise would create some broken builds.

If you want to change the setup for whatever reason you would have to pay the price of the ship cost + the currently installed armor. So if you for example have build the ship and upgraded it to advanced Sol armor and now want to change the setup it would cost you again 685.900 + 342.950 + 363.526 = 1.392.376 - 50% of the installed item price of the Slot you want to change.

So you have either the choice between simply building up another ship to pay the same price or keep your current one at the current armor state and simply refit it as you think.

Sure it might look like this will make the other ships obsolete at some point but don´t forget that in compare to the current system ships you need to spend most of the time nearly the double amount of cryo to get the Parsec classes to the current system loadouts with their best tech and armors.

And if you really want to have a variety of ships for a system you need to build that ship several times up what in reverse means a lot of cryo that would be washed out of the game as well.

And before now some counterarguments come ala "but what about the weapon holding points like for the Blaster/Rockets/Sniper Blaster" i only can say that Split already have shown that the Weapons can be "hiden" and not need to be visible like at the Mantis ships or the Paragneiss and his Sniperblaster that can´t be seen on the ship but is "hidden" in the ship.

Ideas/thoughts/Concerns/etc. are welcome to be discussed for that idea.
