Are the stars in PG all made up? Nope.

Vega is a star in the Lyra constellation. It weihts as much as 2,6 Suns, And it is 25 lightyears away. It seems as if Vega has a disk of dust and asteroids similar to the Kuiper belt. Vega is also normal in many science-fiction books and movies, star trek, and Contact for example. Vega is the fifth brightest star in the sky.


Here is vega in infra-red.

Antares is A red supergiant. It is larger than the orbit of Mars. Antares also has a blue companion star, Antares B. Maybe this is the one ingame, as the Antares star here is blue, not red. It orbits at around 550 AU, which is 6 times the orbit of pluto. Antares lies 600 Lightyears away.

Gemini is only a constellation, not a real star. In PG, however, the Gemini system is currently the only twin star system. It consists of a Blue and a red Giant.

Mizar is actually a Sextuple system, consisting of four stars revolving around eachother named mizar, aswell as two other close by, named Alcor. (the distance is about 40 000 to 80 000 AU.)
The distance it Earth is 78 Lighteyars. Mizar is also a Mountain mentioned in the bible, a flying car, and a rock band.

And Sol, well, you know that...

Gamma Draconis, one of the stars in the constellation Draco, is A white star, 148 Lightyears away.
In 1.5 million years, Eltanin (Deaconis) will pass within 28 light years of Earth. At this point it will be one of the brightest stars in the night sky, nearly as bright as Sirius (assuming its current absolute magnitude does not change).

A parsec is actually a mesurment of distance equal to just under 31 trillion kilometres (about 19 trillion miles), or about 3.26 light-years. Yes I did this on my own all I needed to find it how many light years 1 parsec is

Vega is also the 'other' North star as the Earth precesses on it's axit every 26,000 years. Currently Polaris is the North star. Vage is also the star that was the destination in the book 'Contact' by Carl Sagan.

There are also a series of solo recital pieces for the trumpet named after many stars such as Vega, Antares, Spica, etc. that I used to play.

Yeah, man, he died December 20 of 1996 and is survived by his wife Ann Druyan. I have all of his SCIENCE books, NOT sci-fi, he did not write sci-fi except for 'Contact'. He is one of my few heroes. I remember watching the COSMOS series on PBS back in the '70s and I bought a set on DVD! X4, you need a serious update! There is also the Carl Sagan Memorial Station on Mars for the Pathfinder Rover.
