Dear Space Pirate,

We are once again at Draconis info update time! Today I will introduce to you the new Pirate Mode 2.0 and bounty system which will be implemented with Draconis update.

Pirate Mode 2.0 and bounty system

Now When clicking on the skull, Pirate Mode is activated instantly with no timer but beware as it can no longer be switched off until you are killed by another pirate!

If you kill another player who is also in pirate mode, you will receive war points based on the damage you inflict on your foe but it is also tallied as bounty. Needless to say, the more pilots you kill, the higher the bounty war points are placed on your head.

The higher the pilots bounty, the higher up in the bounty list he is listed. If a pilot is killed, he is automatically removed form the bounty list and your bounty is reset.

If multiple bounty hunters fight against the same target and wins, the bounty is split amongst the winners depending on effort.

The bounty of will be reset at the end of every week.

Bounty Side Panel Tab

If a pilot is in pirate mode, his name will be displayed in the new bounties tab in the orbit side panel. This tab will also show all pirate moded players along with their bounty and current planet the are on. Only pirates in your current system will be detailed.

Noob killers beware! You now have price on your head! You can run but you can't hide!

I believe this is a great ideas, great job developers. It will surely make the game alot more fun and fair, since now there will be a consequence for podding other and especially for those noob killers. The only problem i see so far is that it will be a lil bit more of an issue when you just want to pvp someone, but don`t really want everyone after you. Also since i haven't really played with the new bounty system I was wondering if ,when you die, will your top bounty score reset and you will have to start completely over again or will your top score stay on the bounty ladder and you will have to go for a higher bounty score(like the High score in most arcade games). One last thing will there be a prize, like the Golden Skull for warscore, for the player with the top bounty at the end of the week?

It will be interesting to see. For CQ's may something like if you go Red at CQ planet. And land during CQ Then have a short time limit to change mode while still ln orbit of CQ planet. But if you leave. Without changing modes you are locked in PM.

I assume conquests will be seperate from this, with regards to losing and gaining other peoples bounty and being able to switch pirate mode off after? Im also thinking that reducing the cooldown from 30 seconds to instant for turning pirate mode on would lead to alot of sneaky kills when other pirates are low on hp and lead to much annoyance!

They said something about that i tought,

So if someone is on low health he gets less points, but the problem is i think that storms get the most points because they can damage more, like storm vs shock, shock will get less points if he kills him
Storm vs Tank, storm gets really much points for the kill.

nice update and should fix pvp. i think this update will only effect normal pvp and if they are wise they will do something like death turning off pirate mode. it would be really cool if they let you choose which version you wanted to use(something like freindly pvp and open pvp would be good with current system making it so you can only use it to fight buddies and clan mates)
