The Balance of Energy/Critical Hit

I hereby would like SS to follow my pattern of Energy Balance and maybe even Critical Hit chance.

The Energy Balance and Critical Hit chance are currently very inbalanced.

I can proove this many ways, but shall try it with v1's scale of damage of weapons, not speed of weapons.

Why you may ask? Well, Speed does not have anything to do with the energy usage.

If the energy usage is based on damage only, it would be more fair. I am basing this on Certain weapons, such as the Sniper Blaster, which uses double energy usage as the blaster but does the same damage. The blaster is one of the best weapons ingame if looked qua energy, I only think that the blaster has to be equalized in the lower systems so "newbies" do not have to go so often to an energy field.

Sniper Blaster on the scale of hyper is currently, to my oppinion, wrong. It is said to do as much damage as 2x Blaster Damage. But I have experienced much less. My ZP Preonic Beam has 2x more damage then the ZP Power Blaster. However, has less damage then the ZP Pulsar Blaster.

So I can't say the actual damage, but it's less then 2x, more like 1.5x Energy should be 1.5x that of the blaster, so the ZP Plasma Beam Sniper Blaster should cost 35x2 - 35:2 = 70-17 = 53 or for less mathematic people, a lot less ^^
Same for the Rockets. It is currently based to cost 3x that of the blaster, but it does just less damage then that. It's more like 2.5x so 35x2 + 35:2 = 87

I think that SS should re scale the energy balance to go more around damage.

Then Critical Hit.

Currently, Critical Hit is best on lower ranks, if ss wants us to kill higher ranks for cryonite, then the next rank from which we can receive Blueprints should have a bigger chance of critical hit.

the sniper blaster does not do 2 times more blaster, but a extra damage of 70%, it's not 100 mroe damage, if you use buff with it, it might damage 80-90% damage more then the blaster... but I' am 100% sure sniepr doesn ot do 100% more damage then the blaster ;P of it's lvl!

yeah, i tought so already...

so i took around 75% more damage then blaster, on it's best.

Sniper Blaster is a dangerous weapon and only works on lower ranks very well (critical hit chance is high on sniperblaster)

Just to let you know, you are in no position to demand things from SS. You can make suggestions, which they will happily read. But to demand things from them seems very inapropirate for a wiki master.

Just to let you know, you are in no position to demand things from SS. You can make suggestions, which they will happily read. But to demand things from them seems very inapropirate for a wiki master.

i can want things, doesn't mean it happen. If I want a 10 dollars, he doesn't need to give it to me. But he should atleast consider it...

Your way of talking to the SS staff is not one to write home about. I suggest you change your attitude about that. SS is trying their hardest on making improvements for Pirate Galaxy. And all i see on the forum is complaints which most come from you.

partly true. I agree that I rant a lot, also because I feel like I am getting the hardest hits.

I don't have membership and I have a sniper, I need a lot of cry. The cryonite drop keeps getting worse.

but don't worry, I changed my post, if SS would want that...

To be honest i don't much care about the exact mathematics of it but can I just point out one very obvious thing about the sniper blaster?

Range... Sniper blaster has a lot more range than a blaster does therefore I think it's energy demand is fair based on what I've heard from other players who have the sniper especially when you take into account the extra damage and as a storm pilot I must say it's the same with a rocket.

you can't just kill a player with range, each player knows you can't get sniper out of range, or your doomed, so sniper blasters range doesn't matter much, would say almost useless at pvp ;)

True, but rockets do around 3x damage and also have bigger range then blaster, they do have 3x energy. sniper has to pay much more energy for what a storm gets.

as a bonus they get the thermo-blast, so you need big damage from the OS, or stay in range, more.
