Ok. I may not have been playing all that long. I have noticed however. The pain that it is getting a new ship outfitted. My Idea is simple. Making it easier to get a new ship into the fight by letting a player transfer tech between ships of the same general type (I.e. between two "engineer" types. I just got a newer one, and it has nothing worth a darn). This could cost say a base 150 cryo pluss 25 cryo for every level of tech over the "Noob" level of tech.

It would be simple to program (so all of my computer nerd/geek housemates say. Hey we have a server stack in the livingroom, and a the next step down from a t1 line. Complete with 2 housmates being programming specialists, and the other being a I.T. dept head, and hardware specialist. Funny thing is... I am a chef.)

This would increase the playability, and enjoyment factor by making it easier to get out there in a newer ship right away. instead of having to sit on a new ship until a player is able to outfit it with tech enough to survive.

Thankyou for producing this game. I hope to play it for a GOOD long while.

Absolutely brilliant idea. From the players point of view that is.

But I think you miss the concept of this game. The idea is to keep you shooting like forever. To gather all the cry needed to outfit a new ship.

Therefor your idea, although nice, is the absolute opposite off what game developers want to achieve.

You must be new to the forum. Tons off idea's like yours have been in here. But I think it is all erased somehow.

All suggestions can be found on Archives, we do not erase posts in Feedback and Suggestions, unless they are offensive, then they have other destination.

I agree idea is nice, but as Defcon said, it is not the way PG is created, the idea is for you to shoot mantis, and to drop BP's from where you will get the new tech.

There are also Missions for to achieve tech.

In PG it is not the question what is easier to program, and not, but it is the way this game has been from the begin.
Your idea to be implemented would change the whole game to be another game, that is not PG anymore what we have been playing since 2009.

The idea is you have to upgrade the new tech by killing mantis, this is following a Story line what I believe you haven't understood yet.
If you just could do on your way, you will not be killing the mantis for the blueprints, and that would make this game kinda null to it's story.

We have been playing this almost 4 years the way it is.
There is also a system/planet/level factor for to achieve new ship & tech has also level requirements to install.

I suggest play the game as it is, learn how it is, and get used to it how it is, so have we all done.

I also love the idea, but as all good ideas this one will also end up being moved and forgotten.

As for us playing the same game for almost 4 years I think that statement is completely wrong.
- CQ is not the same as 4 years ago
- CQ rewards
- BP collection
- Boosters
- Membership
- Prices
- Missions (added and removed)
- Steering

I could go on but the general point has been made, the game has gone through many changes as all games do in order to grow and remain competitive. Unfortunately this game is very slow in growth and as such become boring and dead.
Implement some of the great ideas and see the Game flourish once again

I was not referring to the other changes but to the Story mission, and the tech and ship upgrades as this was in question in the very first post.
Was not a post of what Generally would been changed, or has been changed.

It is the basic gaming line I was talking about.

I believe it's in every new, old players knowledge that during 4 years a game has been ongoing changes in various areas.

The basic still stands as it has always been.
You need to do missions and/or grind and kill mantis for Blueprints to upgrade your tech.
You need to unlock new system or planet to unlock a new ship, what is based on levels of players.

Rare ships in Vega, Antares, Gemini, Mizar, SOL & Draconis has been implemented later in the game,
So was all rares, if I remember right the first rare drop was only the blaster, then increased by all generic items as; Afterburner, Collector and Repair Droid.
Only after was all items also found as rares plus the Rare ships.

Just for to add some changes in tech question what the topic is about.

I wish the tech transfer is possible, it took me ages to equip my rare Mizar storm, and the armor is expensive, so it's hard.

Same work what all other pilots has done before you.
At least it is something you have achieved by your own work, and not by trading.
