a zoom function? hmm. that might actually come in useful . I'm willing to give the steering system another chance, then. Hopefully with these changes it will be better than our current system, granted with a little getting used to...lol

Some ppl like it others dont... just make it possible to turn on or off

i just love how i can fly around in circles or whatever direction i want with the current system! Dont take that feeling away from me please...

Tried the steering since the PTR update. Better than it was but its still bad. Try afterburning through the maze on the hive, no chance. SCRUB THIS FOLLY

-well, i have nothing against that sayadin are acting like a free human being, i´m that integrated that for me there are no fuel language, only fuel behavior.
-my problem with the new steeringsystem is that if you only press A or D or the left/right arrowkeys, the ship will move forward as it turns and thereby send you out in a wide bow. -it´s not just about turning the camera, but about turning the ship too in a narrow place.

Tested it again this morning and my findings are as follows:

reaction time = poor but slightly improved

smoothness of flight = awfull ( unless u use w to go forward and mouse to click on screen )

generall feeling of gameplay = very poor ( always seems a struglle against what i want the ship to do and what the ship is actually doing )

I tried with intelegent cammera on and off!

Personal opinion =Leave it as it is now, if u dont want to drift into manis log off or go to orbit . Increase in e-cap is still pathetic but at least heading in the right direction. Loot system =disasterous as 1 bp gave me 7% on the moon for aim tech (15 min of shooting to get 2 bp's)

Did SS not learn from the disaster that came with the early and ill planed release of draconis ?

i agree, i was on the ptr a while ago and it still needs a lot of improvement. Ventnor pretty much said all that was wrong with it. lol

i also still believe that we'd be better off with the old steering system

Just tested the steeringsystem,

try to give my feelings about:

reacton time = np
smoothness of flight = strange as for me , i'm using allway's the keys : kept the up arrow in while going forward1 and pressed left of right going sideway's. When you leave the side arrows there's seems to be a correction towards the old direction. Or in other words when you leave a left/right arrow the ship doesn't go to the position he's directing in, but shifts a little back to the old direction. Which feels really strange, if you want to go to the good direction you have to steer a bit further then the directions you want to go in.

gameplay: not good atm as you have to correct direction whith the mouse or take a bigger turn.

I will not ban anyone for this but I will give you all an unofficial warning for repeat the foul language word used by Sayyadin.

I have called his attention to this just as any other user.

I would have to give out a warning to ALL of you who quoted the bad word, so therefore to avoid this as the intention was good, I will not do that.
But Sayyadin is not allowed to use foul language either at this forum, just as any user isn't.
