so after pm'ing Odin n Kimbo who read the pm but didnt bother and Milky-Way who doesnt bother even to check his mail.. <all these were sent when these ppl were online> i have to wait for a Gm to get online who gives me the answer: did u pm delloda, he is the only one who can check the log.then i have to pm delloda who isnt online but shows up when i make rant topic who sends kimbo to tell me that they put it in the bugtracker that they want the power to assign ranks in clans <DOH nobody could anticipate that would be necessary on day?> and hope they implent the code soon but till then he hopes he finds a answer..

im not paying for bugs dude.. i payed for membership and other things at end of last month im already get *bleeped* here. this is not my fault there is nothing about this in the forum so it's not my doing here.do some good costumer support and fix this.. if u dont have the power the devs can do it.

What are you raving on about?!? I answered then asked Kimbo on skype to pm you a reply while i updated the bug tracker with this bug. We could not hope to anticipate something like this happening. the dev's will fix this bug and update it into the next version and create a command for me to fix existing problems.

Bugs happen, no one wants them and we try to fix them asap. We answered you as fast as we can so chill out let us get too work on it. It's not as if you clan is disbanded by the bug or anything.

im not willing to wait untill next update.. i want it fixed immediatly..
i payed for a namechange not a deletion of the admiralship..
i have elite membership just so clan is at maximum cap..

next version this, next version that..
im sick of when there is an error or SS goes beyond conduct n messes something up that it cant be corrected..

the whole day the game freezes n crashes n i dont care..
thats the game sometimes..

but when i pay for something i want what i payed for n not some idiot change to my clan.
i cant help that the one who coded the name change forgot to code the part that admiralship stays with the player and is assigned to his profilenumber instead of his pilot..
dont make me a victim of something thats out of my reach..

that halfday in the office.. if u cant correct ur error in 4/5 hours well i dont know..
this is a simple code change in clan structure but nooo i have to wait untill next update.

how about giving me the gold for a name change 2x..
i change my name back.. if admiralship is on other name i assign to a fellow clan member.. change my name back n let that clan member assign admiralship back to me..

i betcha clanranklist is based on pilotnames so if i change back it might recognize me as admiral.. <if it not wiped the list after "departure" <namechange>

here's an idea: in the code assign all clanranks to player's id# instead of to pilotnames.

To fix your issue will mean altering the code base then bringing the server down and applying a hotfix version without testing. Hotfix's are done only on dire situations where there is crtitcal bugs that affect most pilots or have game breaking consequences. We will not risk updating without proper testing just to fix a problem that affects 1 or 2 person per server.

Your ship has not been deleted it's just lost it's admiral status. You clan still exists and you pilot is functional. This is clearly a minor issue then.

We will only correct minor issues when in new version releases. We used to patch weekly but now it is fortnightly since the game and code is getting larger and more complex than ever before. there is no such thing as a simple fix. Evey change in the code has consequences and dependancies. One pull of a thread could unravel the whole thing. Think of the butterfly effect in chaoes theory. It applies here.

Out of all the stuff your written in the thread, this quote is the only useful and forward thinking part. Instead of ranting, lets focus on trying to find solutions and workarounds!

We can test your theory but we don't need to give you gold. Just drop me a PM when you are online or even Kimbo or Astraeus as they also have the renamepilot command. I'm mostly available from 9.30am till 6.30pm GMT+2 Monday to Friday. Sometimes at night, i may be on my level 12 Vega pilot pking new pilots and i normally check the forums 24/7 unless i'm out getting boozed! ^^

it's absurd that i have to think of a possible solution instead of you guys.
im a player i dont wanna think about things unless it's ingame affecting the system of playing the game.
i dont wanna move myself in the position of a dev.. normally u have betatesters for that kinda stuff.
i just wanna play the game without too many hassles.

anyways..

delloda get ur afterburner into a clan so ppl can see if your online.. coz opening a private chat on the lucky draw that u are online and then ur not on gets tired..

if 1 thing of all things in the game should work perfectly it is the things u sell.

Our guys are fixing the problem from a coding point of view but workarounds our between the pilots and GM's to find out since we know more about console command usage. You shouldn't need to think about in-game system problems unles it is game balancing issues as they will be addressed by the devs but if a specific bug is affecting you and you return to normal play immediately you should try to contact a GM who will refer you to the appropriate level of GM to try to figure out a workaround till the bug is fixed.

I used to be in the gm clan but i decided to leave because as soon as I'm on, pilots will not contact my GM's but instead direct every single question and problem to me and ignoring my poor GM's.

Usually when I'm online, it's because i have something to fix or some task to do. I can't do them if I'm being inundated by a gazillion private chats with issues that GM's are able to fix. I may not always be online but I'm am available during office hours which is 8 hours a day... sometimes longer. you can ask a GM if am available or hit a forum PM to me.

In you case, we could test the workaround with an LGM as they have the command rights to perform the renamepilot command.

if you contact a GM, they should refer you to the appropriate rank of GM that has the command set to handle your problem. I'll remind the GM's about this since sometimes a ticket to support is not necessary if the right level of GM is online to handle it immediately.
