[SOLVED]Language on servers?

Hi all,

Now i would like to have a clarification from GM's about if there is a rule saying you have to type german on the german server, spanish on spanish server, french on french server and english on the english server. Big argument on the german server as we where speaking/typing english in public chat. I'm playing on the english server and many times i see ppl type in public chat in all different language, and to my knowlege there is no rule that says they can't.

If there is a rule then i would like to see it in printing, cause i can't find it.

If there is no rule, then i would like it to be posted on each forum for the different servers so ppl actually know this. I'm a bit tired to get jump by ppl just cause i don't type in german, french or spanish.

Yes, definately worth clarifying. Sick and tired of the verbal abuse, especially on the german server just because i don't speak german. I'll play on whatever server i like, when i like, not my fault if i can only communicate in english. It's like in game racism, seems like its encouraged here. Very sad state of affairs

I agree i shouldn't be harrassed on other servers cause i speak english i don't harrass the players on the english server for not speaking english i expect the same respect on the rest of the servers.

It wasn't an idea, i just want clarification on the matter as we got told on the german server that only german was allowed and i haven't seen any rule about this. I just hope any GM looks into this and tells us what is the rule or not.

No, your missing the whole point of this. We're not saying that at all. This is about going on a foreign language server, being told we can't speak anything else, abused verbally for speaking another language, then hounded by other players until we either leave the planet or log off. That is wrong on every level.

The usual policy is that the language of the the server is to be the one used in that particular server. e.g. English for English server and German for German Server. Although this policy maybe heavily enforced in the other servers, we of the English server are a little more relaxed and tolerent about it since we are more multinational as we have many countries playing with us.

So the official English server language policy is that English is the preferred language so please try to speak English if you can.

Okay, so referring to my earlier post, why are we being hounded about this on the german server? And i mean rudely hounded by practically anybody as soon as i say something in english? Like you say these are multinational servers and i for one won't stand for any of this racist bs from anyone. You might want to tell the people playing on the german server that as well

much appreciated Can you also make note that ppl over there are not following server rules on killing players in antares with mizar and gemini ships and equipment.

While i appreciate the fact you are going to do this, wouldn't it be better to simply post some rules here on the forum about this so that way everybody knows what's going on? This isn't an isolated case and happens not just to me, but any johnny foreigner visiting a server where they speak a different language.

I honestly thought that living in the 21st century, we'd moved past all this "hatred" where people start screaming and shouting at you just because you don't speak the language of the server. It seems many here have very small minds. After all, this is a game, not real life. Some people need to seriously grow up.

This problem will not go away i can tell you that, and needs a very strong hand to control it. I hope you guys take the right action here. Rumours of something like this leaking out could damge PG's reputation.

I know some facts of this, at Gamigo forum Germany server it was written within the Germain rules that only Germain was accepted as language, they also stated only English was accepted at English server what wasn't true.
I translated the Germain rules as Dione, and to my surprise they had many different rules what we didn't even had at English server, same at Spanish and French server which ones I also translated for myself.

In the past, I ask that as Dione, for to have this issue clear, and I was told there is NO rules of what language was spoken at English server, all languages were permitted, and the other servers had their rules cause countries etc. was different.

So for once now with Splitscreen, I would like to ask them to make the same rules for all servers, cause we could break a rule at the other servers when playing there without proper knowledge of such.
This game is the same for us everyone, and I do not like the idea that all country servers will have their own behavior cause of the rules.

I don't see this as good for an International game.

So please clear this up for the sake of ALL Pirate Galaxy players, and Please make clear rules of it.

Hi guys,

I am a dutch player and i have to admit that my english typing ain't the best, but i will try. I think it would be an improvement if each server will have it's own language. English server: use english ect.

Suggestion: No other foreign languages on english server; if you want to talk in other language on askone use Teamspeak.
