First of all, I want to emphasize that this is not a complaint thread. I understand there are technical problems with Solaria, and furthermore, I genuinely appreciate all the efforts that are going into fixing them.

I do want to point out that these problems are now exceeding the normal range of expected downtime, which are less detrimental (though no less disconcerting) to non-paying players like myself, but must be extremely taxing to a paying player, who has bought in-game benefits which have a limited lifespan and have these benefits reduced by forced server downtime. In addition, this may also discourage some players from investing in memberships and boosters until such problems have become stabilized.

I would therefore like to suggest that Solaria players get some type of consideration to acknowledge our patience with the situation, and to encourage the server player base to continue growing. After all, there are many new players in the server, and it is beginning to look very promising as these players gain quickly in rank. It would be a tragedy to lose them to frustration, when it could be easily avoided. And best of all, such an action costs Splitscreen Studios nothing, while the (business) benefits of a growing and happy player base are quite tangible.

Such consideration need not be drastic or excessively generous. Even small gestures of acknowledgment can improve morale and goodwill significantly, for instance, any one of the following:

- Solaria-exclusive booster (1-2 days)
- Solaria-exclusive event
- Solaria-exclusive skin
- One time energy charge for all Solaria players, 5X Cap

Hopefully, one of these suggestions (or something similar) would be easy to implement, and reasonable in the sense that they are not game-breaking or unbalancing, yet a strong statement from the PG team that Solaria is not being forgotten or marginalized, despite the technical problems.

The Solaria server is once again unavailable. Am I truly the only pilot on Solaria who feels that our server has been subject to unusually frequent and severe technical troubles, and are as a community deserving of some recognition from the PG team?

u are not alone in this matter as many players are of the same mind but we must consider that the usa network server is new and that things do happen that are out of splitscreens hands but they do try to solve the issues as soon as they can aslo there are mutiple threads on this issue and they can not respond to all of them to state whats wrong as this would take longer to do than actually fix the problem

i do hope they take one of your suggestions thou lol

I agree, but again this isn't a North American based game nor do they have the same resources. I'm sure they had these issues when the European Servers were running. Perhaps they will consider something for the player discouragement in Solaria.

Thing here is, its not the Solaria server with the issues. As long as you are living outside of the US, you can login and connect to any server PG offers but if you are a US resident, you cant even get to the log in screen so its not PG's hardware or software, it is the hosting company and/or its location and then the other thing is, the time difference between the two. Euro servers are GMT time zone and the US server is GMT-7 so when 1 company is awake, the other is still fast asleep in bed. Only thing I can suggest is wait until all is sorted and allow Delloda or the uppers to post.

Thanks for your reply, Heimdall. However I am not sure I fully understand what you are saying here. Could you please clarify your meaning?

Specifically, do you mean that when the server status is listed as (red/unavailable), the server is actually up, but people simply cannot connect to it? I also double-check with this link: http://eu.pirategalaxy.com/serverStatus.php and the page also shows the server as being "offline".

I'm also confused as to the role of the hosting company in this, because if we are able to log in and make it to the server selection screen in-game, but are then confronted with the red server of Solaria, can we deduce this to be a problem of the server, the problem of the hosting company, or the problem of our geographic location?

Any kind of information relating to this would be greatly appreciated, as it helps us (as players) to understand what is happening, and what prevents us from being able to log on normally.

Thanks again!

Sorry, I didnt mean to confuse but let me see if I can answer all your questions. On the status page if it shows the server as RED then the server is in fact offline to all players but if it shows GREEN and you are still unable to get to log in then the server is online but the local server being Solaria is down due to some hardware issues be it either on hosting or PG side and only US players are unable to connect. As for the actual role of the hosting, I am unable to comment as we arent informed of what actually goes on with them. We are just told if the server, hosting or such has had a failure and are asked to relay that to the players. For any further information, you are welcome to post back and await Delloda or a higher up to give specifics. Sorry I couldnt explain everything but I hope this helps some.
