Rules for PM on systems?

Hi,

A couple days ago I saw a GM say that a ship can't land on a systems planet while in PM unless he/she has a ship of that system or lower. But about 10 min ago there is a level 50 or so on Antares with a sol ship on PM... My question is this... Should I take a screen pic and report it or not? As i did not know, I took a pic anyways, here you go...

GM's said that if they find a player in PM in a ship that's not from that level, they would pod him. Though, since GM's are barely enforcing this anymore, players don't really care.

The GM's you are referring to are the gamigo GM's. As you well know, starting March 1st, gamigo GM's will be a thing of the past and splitscreen will have it's own GM's in the mix. Only thing I can suggest is keep taking screen shots and give it a week to get everything settled. Once things are settled, you may find a lot of pods in the future for the rule breakers.

It's actaually fun to play a trick with gm's, i'm not in my mizar on vega 2 in pm to pod beginners and rule followers, i am there to have fun playing hide and seek! It was fun until i suddenly got podded without a reason...

I did exactly the same on v2. GM's in orbit said that us pilots must turn off PM. I challenged him to go down and pod me. A friend of mine was there too in PM, Kimbo (I think) landed and podded my friend. I hid behind a building, he couldn't find me. I turned off PM and flew next to him

Well they hid their ship, i suddenly wnet red (battle mode not pm) woithout any reason, and poof!

Your hide and seek can cost you a warning, a rule is a rule and must be obeyed.
Hard to see this situation as GM's don't need to seek anyone, they have just to use the find command.
Playing around to irritate a gm, might not be the best idea.

Can we still be podded if were just flying around in PM say like on Vega 1

I dont normally take PM off and whenever i see red rank 5-10 i dont shoot them as it will be a waste of e

Even if they shoot me... ill just afterburner away, not use killing them.. im not like some of the noob killers out there... Im a good player ;D

Yes, the rule states;
You cannot land, nor be at the surface with your Pirate Mode on, if you are in a higher system ship than Vega ship with Vega tech, Cq rules implemented.
Same rules goes for Antares, but off course with Antares ship and tech.

what i think is that you can go down on the surface on pm but then a big orbital strike kills you

If this is so important, why not make it impossible for higher pirates to even land or go pm on lower planets?

A program will be implemented in the future, but it is not on the first priority list.
As told, the release of SOL has made the Devs being very busy fixing old and new bugs, and issues regarding to all systems.

why??? seems kinda pointless really...
i mean if i was never blasted as a noob by someone bigger id have never had the tenacity to keep playing and kick everyone else's butt... gettin podded in 1 shot by someone waay stronger is a charecter builder..

Nice knowing your thoughts, you will make it easier for the GM's to do a follow up on your activities.
If it turns out you are breaking the rule, don't blame anyone but yourself, and suffer the consequences of it.

its the way i get out of arguements when stealing stuff, since pirates steal

is there a rule on stealing? if there is then ill stop

Sorry to dissapoint you, but the pirates where brutal couward murderers in real live.
No Erol Flyn (for the older ones amoung us) flying in pyjama's from mast to mast .
If you are proud to shoot much lower ranked players than i feel srry for you.
So if i see a player killing much lower players i will attack you and i am shure i am not alone.
1 point to your defence is off course the PM mode .You r correct with that :
Always the risk to be attacked by other players.

What are the consequenses of being in pm on lower planets? Really, what are they? What about new players? Where can you read about this rule in game? It's not like Ivanova tells you...

Finally, i agree with the celt. I actually though that it was FUN too flee from mizar tanks using my gemini shock. It's hide and seek-ish... I remember when a 3-man squad chased me on terasa... it was the most funny thing i have ever done in PG... forget those stupid cannonn fodder mantis... Enjoy making Higher ranked angry as you ab away in your feather-weight ship.
