renewal question for you vet players and/or GMS

I had two questions on the shop products:

1. If I buy an item that lasts 3 hours. is that three hours of game play or three hours in total whether I am logged in or not?

2. Sometimes we can buy items on sale during a special offer. We are given the opportunity to renew by checking the box. Is this renewal at the sale price that I paid or at the full price noted normally in the shop?

I guess this means that if we buy an item or membership on sale, NEVER click renewal unless you want to pay the normal full price. Take heed folks!
