2v2 Sirius Squads Tournament - Saturday/Sunday July 26-27th

Greetings Pilots!
We are excited to announce PvP tournaments for English & International Servers - Askone, Kalgan, Solaria & Aeria in Pirate Galaxy!
Please read the entire post to understand how the tournament will work, when it will take place, and the tournament prizes. Best of luck pilots!

How the Tournament works :?:

  • Technology: Restricted to Sirius technology.
  • Squads: 2 pilots (+1 optional substitute)
  • Location: The tournament will take place in a special PvP arena. Both squads must be in the hangar during ship selection. As soon as the two squads are ready, the organizer will send the squads to the planet and teleport them to their starting positions to start the round.
  • Start date: The tournament begins on 26th or 27th July depending on your server. The server time/date for each individual server will be announced separately.
  • Tournament Type: The tournament style will be decided a few days after the registration of the squads according to the number of squads (Direct Elimination or Double Elimination).
  • Division of Matches: Each Match will be divided into 3 Rounds against the same squad:
    • Direct Elimination: In direct elimination it will be a single match decider with best of 3 rounds, the first squad to win 2 rounds will be the winner and move on to the next match.
    • Double Elimination: Best of 3 applies to each match as well. However, Each squad will have two chances total. Meaning even with a single match loss they can compete in the loser's bracket for a chance to comeback.
  • Evaluation of winner per Match:
    • The first squad to win 2 rounds will be the one to move on to the next phase or match (Best of 3).
  • Ship selection: After the end of each round, the pilots will be sent to the hangar and the squad's ship composition can be modified.

Special cases :info:

  • In tournaments with an odd number of squads: If there is an odd number of squads, the last 2 squads to enlist will fight for the place in the tournament, this will be the starting Match that will take place at the beginning of the tournament.
  • In Direct Elimination tournaments: If the number of squads on Direct Elimination is not 8,16 or 32, the first squads to register will pass the first round due to the functioning of the Direct Elimination brackets.
  • Missing one of the enlisted pilots: If a squad is missing one of their enlisted pilots when they are asked for the first time to participate in a match, they will be able to call the substitute player specified on the post during inscription. This pilot will take the position of the missing squad member for the full duration of the tournament (including reward distribution)

Tournament rules :info:

All rules mentioned below must be followed strictly, not following them will result in a direct disqualification of the squad from the tournament and will give the opposing team the victory to the next phase.
  • Use of gravitons is not allowed.
  • If a pilot has been defeated during a round, they cannot materialize on the spot. The pilot must wait in the capsule(pod) until the round is over (doesn't apply to materializer item).
  • Unsportmanship or deliberately letting a squad win is strictly forbidden.
  • A squad will be disqualified if after 15 minutes from when their combat had to start, they still haven't made presence in the game (Special cases will be handled by organizer)
  • After the squads announce they are ready for the match, players must have a ship with the proper tournament technology, failure to do so will result in direct expulsion.
  • Registered players must meet the required level to comply with tournament technology restrictions (Level 82 minimum)
  • A squad cannot bring two of the same ships on a round (Ex: two Emperor Parsec's, two Terrorizer's etc)

Tournament Registration :!:

Registration for the tournament will begin on the 10th of July and closes on 22nd July. Registration will be on a separate post.

A squad registration must have this format:
  • Squad name:
    • Pilot name 1 (Will be considered squad leader).
    • Pilot name 2

Once the registrations are closed, the final configuration of the tournament and the classification will be published on July 24th.
