I have no knowledge of Java whatsoever, but i do believe it wouldn't be too hard to simply adjust the pirate mode code into a friendly fire mode code.
u would think but a simple thing as removing energy usage on v3 cant be done coz it's baked into the basecode...
no matter how simple it looks1 change of line in the code might effect the whole game.
My whole point was to give the possibility for fun pvp's, having to fly to a specific planet and sign up is time consuming and takes away the freedom to pvp on any other planets.
nonsense.. we all fly across the whole galaxy for certain fun stuff.. thats part of the game
About those interferences, the whole friendly fire mode (FFM) thing was meant to keep you safe from players in pirate mode, while it gave you the ability to attack friends in FFM. the only interferences would be from Mantis.
once again u dont know how that change in code would result in which bugs..
i see conflict in all sorts of ways.. like: during missions or during cq..
it has been proven before that some simple chages have the strangest effects on other parts of the game.
keeping pvp's on a certain planet and different instances i suggested to prevent a lot of bugs appearing.
i have seen many n done suggestions in this past year..
i have seen many modifications n how that can effect the rest of the game structure.
