Pirate Mode

I find it very bad that I have to make this thread.

Whats the fun of Pirate Mode? There is no fun anymore.

Yesterday something happend that is very similair to what always happens. What happend?

I was flying on Mantis Hive in Pirate Mode to rank a bit. Guess what? Someone killed me, and it wasn't someone in a rank 60 ships because they are rarely seen on hive. Later he got ganged by others.

So what happens?

High rank solo players collect bounty by killing all red players, no exception, so also noobs
Then a squad of a clan comes to kill that High Rank solo player and they steal his bounty

Whats left is 1 guy that can only kill someone thanks to his clan.

True Pbhuh, but most high rank players don't care too much bounty as it is just warscore. I used to kill people for bounty but got bored of it as its so pointless and I only get ganged or something like you said, so I just go back to killing everyone I'm not buds with

Best part is (or not), is the instant on time. I just turned it on when Ventnor had below 1 bar of hp, 1 stun+1shot+1shot by a mantis later, he was a pod.

All you had to do with the original pirate mode was have a minimum time you had to have it on before you can turn it off (say 4 hours surface time or until you podded) and keep the 30 seconds start up time. Plus include a crystal drop for the winning player to pick up. If the dude has no crystals or cry protect then you get nothing. Also maybe give the pirates something for having pirate mode on as that is the name of the game. Say a bp booster/cry booster whatever but we know that's not going to happen.

Most players I think don't want nor care about the bounty or the league.

PM is not worth it, especially for those who dont have cry protection.

Even if u are the best solo player, u can never last enough as most likely big clans will come and gang u.

The new Pirate Mode doesn't seem fair anymore. It was a cool little thing you could turn on and off and was good to have if you saw some bigger player in PM. Pirate mode was more fun in its old ways. It seems now once your in PM you have to PvP instead of maybe enjoying the small XP bonus.

But however the point of the system is just ridicolous who cares about gaining warscore when you win gold skull they just remove it anyway.. And when you win pvp events you dont get any rewards either so its pretty much useless
And yes it sucks that you can turn on pm instantly, they should just have the 30 second timer but keep you from turning it off until you pod or the week ends.

ganging is making the game less fun, i can easily take down another rank 60 ship, espesially storms, and then it's a fun pvp, but lately, Rank 70 pilots gang me, WHATTT!!

might I suggest you get a rank 70 stun then. Why are you flying a rank 60 ship on hive anyway?

Basicly what I think. Cause atleast then we can turn it off without becoming bait.

I kinda like the new pirate mode, plus even with the old one you still get ganged and what not... plus this one makes hide and seek a lot more fun though I totally agree that they need to add something to the fun of it... why not make it so that you can drop cry like a mantis does but you don't actually lose any whilst in pirate mode if a PLAYER pods you.

Though on another note I think if you're going to go into pirate mode you should expect to be podded... you're high ranked enough to know better so if you pod in pirate modfe just get over it and carry on playing ^.^ Much more productive than whinning in your pod like a spoiled child.

so, i can get very far on hive without dieing, lots of rank 70 pilots die quicker.

i can make it to bottom right without podding once, but the fact is that you jumped gazica..
