Pirate mode stealth???

When I was on Technatoria i was in pirate mode so I was checking every 30 seconds if there is any danger around me. Then from nowhere a pirate name ManninBlack was next to me. He was also in pirate mode and he was 75 level and in Avangarde of Hell clan.
I am level 35. He said "Hello" and start shooting at me. I mean, what I could do? What he wanted with that Hello thing? To start some kind a conversation in which I would beg him not to kill me??? I started shooting at him with all Ive got and, even I was damaged from rocketeers and my repair spent, I took 50% of his hp.

What else I can say about Avangarde and their players except they are nobody. Then, that Maninblack or whatever his name was, started to threat me like :"if you dont stop shoot me I will always search for you and I will continue to destroy you up around the galaxy". I mean What the hell they talk about? That clan think that I am afraid of them, so I should just stand down while they are about to destroy me???? That is the most stupid thing I heard in my life.

What I want to discuss is how the hell he did not appear in Bounty panel (Space bar)? Minute after another guy in pirate mode came, Sir_Lex (32 level Die Joker clan) he also didn't came up on Technatoria bounties. Its pretty easy then for much stronger and higher level energy cheaters to sneak up to you, when you cant thrust your computer.

Not sure, but could be because bounty list isnt real time list, it doesnt refresh every second. It takes some minutes before it reloads and in that time your situation can happen.
Also, i have noticed that when you get podded, loose your bounty and disappear from bounty list and then activate pirate mode again, you dont appear on bounty list sometimes even after longer times...

Anyway i guess most likely thing is that guy first noticed you, activated pm and then aproached you and started shooting. So simple explanation...

if he had not been in pm since reset, then saw you and turned red then he would not show in bounty board untill that point

Also simples explanation is if you got the Bounty tab opened up the whole time, sometimes it does only refresh after you close it, and open it again, or you orbit or land.
But keeping it opened up and starring at it for possible reds on planet will not refresh the list

Was manninblack in Draconis ship when he killed you?
Not a very noble thing to do.

another simple explanation if u lag npcs/payers may seem o instantly appear near u , think it has to do with server events happening faster than graphical display or such. ( u can notice such a discrepancy very often when u ab even with less lag)

btw its never good to loose perspective tht this is a game only and just some pixels on ur screen move around/change , noone hurts u for real only one tht can hurt u is urself by letting urself get carried away with negative illogic emotions.
playing roles is fun but always know its a role.

But always also remember there are real people behind these shapes, with real feelings, and as so often, a realistic game like PG is a game you get 100% hooked on, it will become an addiction, it will become part of the life for some players, so surely there is real feelings involved in many players mind when getting attacked or attack someone.

So yes it is a role you play, but unfortunately a realistic role for many.

well i stand by my statement :"only person can hurt you is you."(choices u make are also ur responsibility dont forget tht aspect) some pixels rearanging on monitor never hurt (except maybe for some supposed epileptic attacks in the dawn of pokemon; btw since when did they remove the requirement of epilepsy warnings on games any idea?)

also not doing impact studies on ages and psihological effects and leaving a product open for all ages (since i found no age limit like on other products) makes the game provider partially responsible for some aspects imo

i also disagree with ur 100% addiction statement,lol humans are not easy quantifiable in absolutes.

ok for one if the guy attacked you in a draco ship naughty to them!! if by the sounds of it im assuming off the information given that he was in a gemini ship or same ship as you if so dont moan and whine dude if u get killed while being red lesson learned move on! me and my m8s where on moon hunting a parsec down when i looked at bounty bored while we where getting matt e and bam out of the blue 2 dracos showed up because the board didnt refresh quickly so they arnt cheaters or anythink m8

I understand. I realised that he has bigger ship and I cannot win, but anyway I shooted at him with all I ve got, and damaged him pretty. But what I do not understand why he said to me that Hello thing, why would he want to talk to me if not disrupt me. Maybe its some *** thing. And why he got angry when I shoot him back. Someone from Avangarde should answer this and give us all an explanation.

posting here to ask about the sudden graphical appearance ingame has a bit of logic , but asking for a personal dialog here ?!
try asking the person involved directly ingame or via forum private message worst he can do is not answer so u got nothing to loose.
and questions about why some act the way they act even professionals cannot answer precisely i doubt any of us can.
best/simplest answer (a non professional can offer) is usually some players do wht they do cause ppl like u have a reaction to it on which they in turn thrive. if u ignore such incidents as nothing happened they usually loose interest.lol

Soo, basically what you're saying is, the dude said hello to you whilst he was in pirate mode, you took that as a threat, shot him to half health and then he podded you instantly and now you're whinning about it? Usually when someone says hi it is polite to say it back at least ^.^;

Though more to the point of your topic, that must be a bug cuz they should definately appear on the bounty list if they're in pirate mode being in the same system you are in. Were you really looking every 30 seconds? O.O

None taken. Never mind. Those are big level ships anyway, they like to play a little with their target, you know for fun. I was looking every 5 seconds on screen, and bounty list, and all around me , but there was no sign of him. Skillful pirate what can I say. I am sorry of that whining, that was a mistake to post.
