Dear Pirate Galaxy community and Splitscreen Studios,

Here is my personal feedback, but before I start, please bare with me if my English isn't great, It isn't my native language. Also I would like to repeat that this is my personal feedback, and does not in any kind of way represent the community.

First I would like to tell what I think is really good about Pirate Galaxy. The game is very original and about the only free-to-play 3D space MMO. This is the reason I tried Pirate Galaxy, and I enjoyed it. The game also looks quite good, certainly for a browser based game. Also the story line is very interesting. Also the game mechanics are very good.

Yet there are some problems. Especially with the systems after Draconis. The difficulty went up, that's fine. But to increase the cryonite price by 5x instead of 2x is a bit unpleasing. There isn't much space to farm, and it seems that farming is only a way for people to buy energy boosters(= money). Also the energy is a problem. People want to play the game to have fun, and collecting energy all the time isn't that much fun. And with games it is really important to keep the players happy.

Also a quick note: I really enjoyed the old conquest, but I'm wasn't able to try out the new conquest, but it seems a lot less fun.

Thanks for reading this (long) post. I really hope someone reads this, and it might change their mind. Also to the people over at Splitscreen Studios: You could try and make some people spend a lot of money on your game, but making a lot of people spend a little less is equal to more profit. So advertising the game more would be a good thing, and making the intro more epic for people who try the game out is also a very good thing, because they might stick around.

I've also made a suggestion post with some suggestions: http://forum.pirategalaxy.com/viewtopic.php?f=314&t=26785

Are you the same DeansGreen from the past? If so Welcome Back.
If you are I assume you have been on a break?

There has been some changes in the game, now the known bps what drops give you Energy instead,
that is a huge help, and a good add to the game.

Each bp counts more e that what any energy ball gives you on any planet.
This helps a lot for players who has no membership, and need refills.
Have you been playing the game lately?

I must admit, I haven't been playing the game a lot lately, but I've checked out the changelogs, and didn't see big changes. Also I thought that they had redone that change with the blueprints in the latest patch?

Also, I'm not really going to play a lot, I'm stuck in Draconis because I don't have the time to farm, but I would enjoy to continue playing.

My suggestion is for you to give feedback about the present game by playing it,
not by reading the changelogs, or other users posts.

You cannot possibly have knowledge of the game what you are not playing in order to give proper feedback.

Why not try it out again, maybe you will have some surprises, others good, and maybe others bad, but at least you can tell you know what you are talking about.

What does the old cq looks like?
I may be going a bit off topic here, but I'll try to explain the old CQ to you.

The old CQ differed from the one that we have today. There were no CQ ships back then. You didn't have to sign up using log-files (you could just hop in with your clan if a CQ is on), you could also just hop into the CQ even if you weren't in a clan, just for fun.

To capture a point (each point was called by a greek letter), you simply had to hold out at the spot until the CQ was over, or you were sure that your clan will win, this could have been assured by keeping hold of all spots.

The reward for succeeding in a CQ back then was a cryonite bonus in the system that you won the CQ in, and also a slightly less cryonite bonus in the rest of the systems (this was until another clan took the CQ planet)

I guess you could compare the old CQ system with the old CQ system. Comparing them, both CQ's have many things in common, except; Anyone could join (No Log-files needed), there were no CQ ships, just you, your clan and your alliance, and the reward was a cryonite bonus for everyone in the clan while they keep hold of the CQ planet.

The thing that made CQs fun back then was the sheer amount of people that used to participate in them, and that was what made it rather fun imo.

To be honest, looking at the CQs today, not many people participate in them much, compared to the old CQ.

Anyway, I think I went very off-topic there answering that question. Back to the point.

But to increase the cryonite price by 5x instead of 2x is a bit unpleasing.
I agree with you there, I too still do not understand why the sudden increase in cryonite. Although, I did eventually grind myself a draconis ship (albeit not equipped, heheh).

Granted though, it is definitely frustrating to grind the cryonite needed for this, but I guess it does pay off eventually once you've got the ship that you've wanted.

Indeed, like you said, the difficulty went up, although it seems like SS wanted to spice things up a bit, they increased the prices 5x, to give us players a bit of a challenge and something to work for (although I myself do not agree with what they've done with the prices as I find it frustrating to grind the load, it's something that has to be done to continue proceeding through the game).

The CQ system? I completely agree with you there, as, in my opinion, the old CQ system was indeed better.

Don't take what I've said the wrong way, as I completely agree with your opinion, if SS were to include something that would ease the frustration in any way (although in a way they already have, by now making bps give you energy), I would gladly embrace it, as long as it doesn't make it too easy, perhaps if they stuck to the 'double ship prices as system goes up' method, it would have been less frustrating than having to grind 690k. But I do accept that, even as frustrating as it is, it's something that someone may want to achieve, and eventually they do. :)

Glad to see you on the forums again, I hope you're planning to stay on the game. :mrorange:

@ Tyrannus:
Many meanings to the "explosive" cryoprices say that the growth number of Parsec Pilots did bring us this in.

In Sol we had very much time and one parsec after another did fly out of the Hangars so that Split seems to had the feeling that an high amount of Cryonite is holded by the players and they could raise the Cryoprices so dramaticaly. The bad thing on this is it was never so and would never happen in my oppinion cause not every player in the game is an hardcore farmer to farm for an Parsec (even now where the Parsecs lost all their advantages atm) Whit Sirius it seems that the prices have found his way back cause Split have seen their mistake and so they "continue the normal Price class" again.

For the moment all i hope is that they won´t make an price explosion again when an new system will come out. Even whit the relative good farming rate at Sirius not every pilot owns an Parsec or every ship cause they only play the game for fun in the end.

*yeah i know it was an bit offtopic but it was just to answer an question*
