Different ships have dofferent patterns (materials) some have hexagonal cells, some have a plane metal surface, some have irregular... stuff

Why?

You cant change it.. and the surface changes also when you have Standard Membership.. it makes the ship shinier

The skin of the ships changes after what membership u have. Read the posting in the shop what u get when u buy membership..

How do you change it?

I think what you are talking about is the patterns and they can be changed. When you are at a hangar, click "customize" and you will see a list of patterns you have and the different colors on the right. Just choose a pattern and color then click purchase/save. That will give your ship a new pattern and a cool new look As for how you get the patterns, you collect them in a BP just like you would anything else. The patterns have no effect on the ship for speed or anything, just gives it a customized look. Hope this helps.

i don't mean the colors, or the little shiny stickers you get with membrship, i mean the material surface of the ship. I though that it had something to do with armor or something...

I saw a stam-r storm with hexagonal cells, and another one with camouflage, white grey mettalic surface, once again, this is not the color patterns!

(they both had deluvian too)

Ok, what you are talking about is the armour levels. Those an not be changed except when you purchase better armour.

I think our friend here is missing a few textures. If the texture of the ship was gray, then I might be right.

My ship changed texture when my membership ran out!

Earlier, my sol shock had a navy like pattern (not the color)
NOw it's a blank metal surface

Edit: Same has happened with my Mizar!
