I am a professional game modeler for a living. While your game (PG) is quiet fun to play it seems to be loaded with bugs that cause constant crashing for a lot of people. I have noticed that it is a crash cycle you get caught in that will cause you to crash apx every 10 min non stop until you finally just stop playing. It seems the crashing is at it's worst after the daily restart. I know that the game models we create can cause considerable lag on a server if they are poorly scripted ( omega target, anim smooth,etc..). The two worst systems in the game are Mizar and Sol. Mizar is really poorly scripted, more crashing goes on in that system than all the others and Sol is right behind it. I think all of this crashing is a combination of poorly written scripting and server overload. I Know it is not my computer. I thought maybe it could be but I upgraded my video card to the very best there is and run tons of ram. I can "recreate" the crashing cycle I go thru on a separate grid...this is how I have come to believe that the problems with constant crashing are on your end of things. I know from experience that when you constantly change the scripting of a game it will cause bugs that require patches that end up causing more bugs..it never ends.Of course I am not there in your lab to see how you all are doing things but what I can suggest is maybe instead of always trying to figure out new ways to change this game all the time maybe you might want to slow down a bit and fix what you have for now....it could make things easier for you in the long run. Other than ll of that this game is a lot of fun! :)

I agree with you that it is on ss's end of the connection. I find the crashing happens less when there are fewer people. I have also found that sol has a serious crashing problem. above and beyond the other system.

totaly, 100% agree. around 6:00 pm eastern time the game for me will crash every 2 mins or i will try loging in again but the game cannot even manage a loging to the game so im in a loop of loging in for about 5 trys then it gets stulk in endless loading so i have to refresh/restart the client making game play totaly impossible. I also tryed multiple fixes (restarting pc, reinstaling the client, changing browsers) but the problem stays. and as wtgjim has said it has to be SS side since it cannot be my end as i have E explorer and chat coms open at the time of crashing.

something needs to get done about this otherwise i will regret returning to this game after 5 months of non playing.

You all like to complain about crashing all the time yet I never see any reports sent to support by you. As stated many times in the past there is many reasons for a "crash" with better than 93% of them being PC or Network related.

Since Support does not sit at your PC & watch what happens & They also dont get your system reports from your PC & also cannot see what your configuration & running programs are or how many Processes are running, It would take even a well experienced Tech a while to determine where the Issue lies.

Always when sending a Ticket to Support, Include Full Details as well as a copy of the Java Medic Medic Report & a copy of the DXDiag Report (Start> Run> dxdiag) from your system. Also if you are Tech savvy enough to be able to get your Systems Error logs those can also help determine why you crash

Bottom Line is this: Send your Crash Issues to support - Always Include Full Details as well as a copy of the Java Medic Medic Report & a copy of the DXDiag Report from your system

ok well all weekend iv been crashing afer 2 mins of being in the game, i tryed another laptop and a desktop. making the crashing coming from 3 computers at my home. the java medic report from the PG page gets cheaks on all the reports. same goes for my DXDiag report shows no problems. if you dont mind telling me how i can put this all into a support ticket and a link to the support system would be nice because i cant get into the game to click the button to open it.

There is absolutly no way this is a problem on my end. i have tryed uninstalling java and pirate galaxy then reinstalling, after a reboot of my system the problem is still here. after puting enught money into PG to get memberships and them 30 day boosters. just knowing that iv lost 3 days already on them is making me mad.

another thing. im always on the earth because thats where my missions are are where i can gridn the best is so im always on earth till i hit lvl 60 and finish earth sm and thats where all the crashing is.

Run the diagnosis tool click show report. At the bottom click copy to clipboard paste as .txt file.

Run dxdiag , click save all information, save as a .txt file.

Use the trouble ticket system to either copy paste into a message or add them both as file attachments.

-phoenixangel- I believe this was not your thread to begin with, if your problem got resolved, the thread holders might not have, therefore you cannot request to close a thread started by any other user than you.

This thread will remain open for now till wtgjim kindly would inform us if his problem has been resolved, or inform me here that I can lock this thread and move it to archive.

Well ever since the last weekly update, whatever you all did, crashing hardly happens at all anymore! So it looks like you all are headed in the right direction. This is the first week in many that I have not crashed more than 10 times in over an hour. As a matter of fact,I think I have only crashed two times in one week! So whatever you all are doing keep going in that direction! and thanks to all the SS staff that are involved with programming for giving this matter a serious look at. So go ahead and close the thread if you want :D
