Dear Pirates,

To improve the quality of the game, we now opened the PTR for everyone for testing the weekly updates.

Thank you and hopefully some of you will test the new version

The version that is on the PTR, is the version that will go live on Wednesday.

The database state is new, this means everyone starts with a new pilot.
what this means ?we all have to start from beginning ?

New revamped Vegasystem with new Missions and reworked Planets

SOOOO?????........am i just crazy ???? this thing says the new vega thing schould have been here last week !!!!!
PTR has been changed BACK to normal ???????? WHAT happend or WHEN will it finally come ? :frown:
im really getting anoyed by the lack of info we getting on this !

We needed to test today's bug fix patch on the PTR first. We pushed Vega patchback so we could fix some bugs in the current version in the live servers.

The ptr is back to the vega update with new additions.

may i ask why the first post sayd next week if its gonna be 4 weeks instead......? just dont tell us dates if its not gonna happen its veryvery very anoying

It's called a projection. They were expecting to release is then, it didn't happen, stuff happens and dates need to be changed. It's not like they're sitting in their office going "Oh, how can we mess with those newbs today? I know, lets give them a phony launch date for the new vega system! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! We are so ebil, so ebil, maybe they will quit soon and we wont have to deal with them any more. So ebil.

You guys needs to calm down and go run around for a bit, punch the air whilst you're at it (or a pillow later)(on second thought, you could also just find a person) and relieve some tension.

SG-fighter, you are not a newb, you should know when there isn't an update what they have previously told they will release, it is because there has been something more urgent to be worked on.
As you can see by the announcement, the PTR server had to be used for to discover, and test some reported bugs what now was fixed in the last patch.
There is only one test server, and as Vega was not yet ready and finished to release, they have to work in the order of priorities.
First fixes, and only after that new stuff.
Am waiting for it as much as you are. ^^ :mrorange: ^^

ok so i just made a new pilot... but haven't done any missions once i got in the server.... will the new missions be available to me or will i need to beet the game first?

Do you mean the PTR server or the main server?

At the PTR you have all new missions available for you, that is why that is being tested before it's release to the main server.

The pilots on the PTR is only testers, so once it will be transferred to the main, your test pilot will be gone, everything will be reseted.

But you brought up an interesting fact here what I would like to have the answer to as well.

If you still have a Vega pilot when the new Vega is updated, what will happen to the story missions what are done, will they somehow continue from the next sm you have to do as a new mission.
Will this mess up cause atm you are able to get bp's in another way than what you do in the new one,
and the ships?

How will the new inserted Vega affect the already made accounts, and story missions, ships and bp's for a Vega System player?

Kk, I would rather had recommended to make a new noob pilot only after the update of the new Vega.

love the new CQ times BTW... such a pain to defend CQ planets 1/2 the day or more.

Just as Delloda posted a few days ago earlier at this thread. Nothing has changed.
The current New Vega is at the PTR-testserver, what means, the new vs will be updated to the main game when it comes.
I agree on Cq times, much better now.

i know that... but the AGE server is separate from the rest of the main servers.... so is it going to be updated at the same time as the gamgo or what ever servers?

anything we do for the SS servers will also be done for the AGE servers. I am in frequent communication with your product manager so don't worry about being left out! From time to time, I do drop into areia server to answer questions.
